Programmable Alternate controller and display

Hi I’m in the U.K. so please bear in mind our very restrictive laws regarding e-bikes.

We have two tricycles which have thumb throttles that are supposed to be set to the legal max speed but only allow the trikes to get up to 3 mph.
Holding down the minus walk mode button goes faster!
The PAS settings are horrendous very over powered at the lower levels, and I would like to be able to reset them.
The speed setting available in the controller does nothig, pressing the plus or minus changes nothing.
Changing the wheel size just alters the speed display but not the actual speed.

It seems to me that user/owner adjustments are impossible and even Eggrider will not allow complete programming access.

So I am looking to replace the existing controller and display with user programable model.

Any suggestions will be appreciated . Ideally the replacement will have the same ,Juliet?, connections but if I have to I am happy to make new ones.

I'd buy a KT controller and KT display. If the trikes use the 4;1 harness with Julet plugs (throttle, brakes, and display plug into it), I believe those are universal, and you can get KT controllers that fit the 4:1.

My Ride1UP came with a similar controller. It was a Lishui with 22A max. I bought this kit.

I know you aren’t looking for more power, but this controller was close to the same size as my controller, which is installed in the downtube. This may not be the kit you are looking for, but this store has many options. They also have a 20A kit and others that have the waterproof plugs that may be a better fit.
