Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Steve, I'm an advocate of the old Banana In The Handlebar Bag school... I've long been a victim of the 2AM leg cramps as well. For all I know it's a placebo effect of just telling myself this will help, but stopping at the top of a decent hill three quarters through a ride and chomping down a banana seems to make a hell of a difference. They're cheap, too!

And no, I don't throw the skins on the ground, I keep a sandwich baggie in the bag as well and get rid of it when I get home. Ever ride a path after a big road bike event? Blackening banana skins all over the place.
and Thank you both. I will carry a banana and some Gatorade next long ride.

Everybody else around here is! They had to shut the track Saturday because of the heat wave we had, but things have cleared out now. I did ride around Saratoga Lake yesterday... does that count?

It’s too bad they don’t make a kayak rack for the bike. For now I will just have to pause and take in the local lagoons.
Marc, we have a Hobie Mirage pedal driven kayak for two that is super fun and a natural for bike riders.

I added the klickFix (oversized) mount, and quadlock out front mount (for my phone). The bag is the Ortlieb Ultimate Six Pro.
Still trying to determine best alternative for a water bottle. Not much room up front and under the back rack didn’t work because there is not enough clearance due to body weight.
Marc Here is a link to a thread I stated a while back on my solution for a double water bottle holder on my Homage. https://electricbikereview.com/foru...r-r-m-bikes-without-bosses.24493/#post-182279

My wife uses hers for two Fabrik water bottles (same ones that come on the Delight). I have an insulated water bottle and a bluetooth speaker/radio on mine.

I drink more water if I have it close to me on the handlebar and can access it at a red light...I hope this will help reduce those nasty leg cramps that surprise attack me in the evening after long rides.

Have you also tried stretching (at least the legs) at the end?

Those are great, but with the Kiox display you don't have the same cap on the fork. I like the kiox, but the custom fork is another shortcoming with this display option.

I never go on a ride without a banana or two in my bag.

@steve mercier Hydration is the most important thing, I have been using a camelback for years and wouldn't be without it! I know some people don't like them but I swear by them and I never suffer leg cramps. The secret is to drink before you are thirsty (just small sips is all it takes) and eat before you are hungry.

No I never do that but I will try it. How much stretching do you do? Do you measure it in time or number of stretches or what?

That may be likely the problem, when the lactic acid accumulates in the muscle, streaching helps to spread and make it faster to be absorbed again by the body.

When I (used to) run, I was usually doing just 2m leg stretching:
- keeping each heel against my butt for 30s (= 1m)
- leaning forward and lie on each knee for 30s (=1m)

Hard to explain for me, but easier to point it out, basically like this guy in this video (the first seconds):

I was used to help me on stairs or railing for the second part

Door County, WIsconsin has some great county roads by Lake Michigan to ride bikes , as most of the residents are summer folks who also ride, jog, or walk and will take care when driving their cars. This year, the Tall Ships were docking at Green Bay, so we rode our bikes down to the Coast Guard station to see them pass thru the canal.

We took a hitch-hiker trailer for our grand daughter. She's 6 and she found the lack of training wheels scary, but after 2 miles, she was hooked on it.

"Look grandpa, one hand!"

"No hands!"

"NO NOTHING!"

Yikes, arms and legs all out, balancing on the seat. I had hoped her fear of falling would go away, but this was crazy.

New episode from the ”Stockholm by late afternoon” sequel.
Had to post a letter TODAY and was late so I had to ride into town to find a mailbox that was not already emptied.
So after that at 5.30pm I thought I might as well go for a ride now that the bike is warmed up.
Continued through the city and through the posh villa quaters on the island Lidingön. On Lidingön there are also park areas and areas that can be called countryside.
37.5km. 3 hours including a stop for hamburger and fries, photo breaks and the usual being lost.

Out for a fun, full day on the bike, stopping to tour the FutureHAUS, a stunning prototype home, designed by students at Virginia Tech, which recently took the top prize at the Solar Decathalon in Dubai. [ https://www.futurehaus.tech/ ]. The home has been rebuilt a few blocks from my office, and touring is available this month, so I had to pop in... By the end of the short tour, I wanted to move in. So many brilliant ideas, amazing tech, amazing energy conservation, all in a 900 sq. ft. home. Sign me up!
The house has an exterior wall of cut metal, enclosing the terrace and creating a breezeway along 2 other sides; providing shading on 3 sides, as well as privacy, while allowing airflow and dappled light. I loved the graphic feel of it, and chose it for my backdrop:

Another early morning ride. A new bike is great inspiration to get going in the morning!

My wife Marji has been building field stone walls for more than 40 years. I knew she would like seeing the beautiful curve they have worked into this newly built wall.

A beautiful late afternoon ride on the 42 mile (round trip) Butler Freeport Trail near Butler, PA.
It was encouraging to see an ebike ad posted by a LBS on one of the trailhead sign boards.

At one point, the trail crosses the 9th fairway of the Bonniebrook Country club. Another reason to wear a helmet.

Not sure what this sign is all about. Talk about your moving target! Next time, I'll wear my WWII M1 helmet.

Encountered trail flooding at mile 13. With no easy way around, I was forced to turn back.

6zfshdb, bummer on the flooding. One night I encountered similar water, and tried to ride it in the dark, believing it was short. It went on and on and on. I stopped believing, Turned around.

I turned around when the water reached the bottom bracket. I worry about the seal around the torque sensor cable.

With thunderstorms forecast for tomorrow I managed to free up my day and go for a very pleasant 73 mile ride, not the most scenic but very enjoyable indeed :D Lots of ups and downs which I love, over 5200ft of climbing, my Giant just glides up the climbs and makes them seem easy but you still get a good workout! No soaking today which is always a bonus :D I can hear distant thunder, maybe its coming early and tomorrow will be dry after all...I doubt it though ;)
