Hey everyone!

I’m Daisy, a daily commuter and weekend adventurer from Portland, Oregon, excited to join this knowledgeable community. After logging 2,000+ miles on my trusty RadPower RadRover 6, I’ve officially caught the e-bike bug and am ready to dive deeper into the tech side of things.

My Current Setup:

  • Main Ride: 2023 RadRover 6 (modded with 35A controller & Schwalbe Super Moto-X tires)
  • Usage: 22-mile daily commute + weekend gravel trail exploring
  • Toolkit: Basic mechanical skills, but eager to learn battery diagnostics
Why I’m Here:

  • Researching my next purchase (torn between Luna Cycle X-2 and Ride1Up Prodigy)
  • Solving my torque sensor hesitation issue
  • Connecting with PNW riders for group rides
Questions for the Experts:

  1. Best waterproof panniers for year-round Pacific Northwest rain?
  2. Anyone running dual battery setups on a RadRover? Lessons learned?
  3. Recommended shops for professional torque tune-ups near Portland?
Fun Fact: I once outran a thunderstorm at 28mph (don’t recommend!) thanks to a tailwind and fully charged battery.

Excited to contribute my commuter hacks and learn from your collective wisdom. See you on the trails (or in the mods forum)!

Lots of waterproof bags available including some cool locally produced stuff from the Pacific NW.
That said, Ortlieb bags are the gold standard and easily available with differing sizes and type . Their "rollers" (they open and close with a roll style closure at the top) are particularly water resistant. Their "packer' makes for a bit easier and quicker accessibility at the likely cost of some degree of water tightness.

Welcome aboard, Daisy! You've come to the right place.

If you get a chance, post some photos of your bike or the places you ride. My 3 favorite forum threads are the ones for sharing ride photos.

Three reasons you are not AI. Please excuse me, but the scent is not at all human. It is not dog or sheep, mouse, monkey, or duck, it is robot. Nothing wrong with robots.
