2017 latch vs 2019 latch??? what changes were made?

weird couple of weeks where i picked up a 2019 latch and 2 older latch bikes, but noticed the older ones have 5 or 6 disc magnets next to the pedals and the newer one does not

could someone educate me on the differences on these bikes, is the newer one torque based??? i dont see that on the website anywhere

I don't know the difference. We also have a 2019 Latch. I bet if you telephone tech support one of their phone techs would be glad to explain. Then you can let us know!

Down my list of stuff to do but I will post back on here if I find out

thinking maybe the 2019 has some kind of sealed cadence sensor..
You would think if it had a torque sensor it would be advertised...

have not had time to test ride these back to back but if I get a chance will do that and post about the differences in how they feel- if there is a difference

Actually, it's kind of fun to pick the brains of the Pedego tech support guys. I think they'd find it interesting to chat with you about this instead of dealing with a customer who is mad about the recall!!
