“Deep cycle” battery tech...

I’ve been looking into marine applications of electric (battery) power. Of course, almost all large ships use electric motors, but I was more interested in personal water craft.

Anyway, I started reading about “deep cycle” AGM (glass mat), which is some tech that I previously knew nothing about. Has anyone heard or done any research with this with respect to personal mobility (on land)? The properties of these mat batteries seem good for our space. Heat resistance. No issues with vibration… Etc.

These days RVers have gone LiFePO4. Prices have come down and the useable power and weight advantages beat AGM by far.
