X7 discussion

Sometimes the little rubber cap for the charging port gets sucked into the frame as you're pulling the battery out. This happened to me and wouldn't allow me to remove the battery. Luckily I didn't tear off the little rubber cap.

Hi All, I echo both “need4speed” and “J-tron”. We also jumped through some fiery hoops getting our fantastic beasts online and operational. Both bikes were missing various bolts and parts and 1 bike the so called “clutch” was broken so the motor was DOA. I made a few hacks like eliminating the rear fenders (they grind on the chain/missing screws) and using a common hardware bolt to attach the rear suspension shock on Green-Mean (see pics). I sent the Black bike off to an ebike repair in NYC and $200 later it is now back and fully functional. Let me say, after all the trials and tribulations the bikes are a DREAM! Everything you are looking for and imagine ebikes will bring to your lifestyle and enjoyment they will exceed your expectations. These things ride like Bentleys, handle terrain and the tough streets of NYC like a Range Rover and fast as an Aston Martin! Unfortunately much of Eahora‘s customer satisfaction score will take a massive hit due to all the ill’s mentioned. We all bought bikes expecting them to arrive intact with all parts, fully functional with available customer service and this simply did not happen. I am still waiting for color screens, bolts, clutch and a Reply! In the meantime summer is speeding away and Q-pause is relaxing so I intend to get the most out of the bikes before summer is over. Anyone experiencing similar issues I advise and suggest to push past the disappointments and failures on Eahora’s part and try your best to get the bikes up and running because you will Love It! Collectively we will tackle and succeed with Eahora! We have American credit backing us so never fear and we are building strong irrefutable cases! So get your bikes fixed, functioning and fit for summer fun! I have figured 98% of the display functions for anyone with M5 display models but will send only via an email request. Here are some pics and I can answer some questions if needed since we have tried and tested. Happy e-biking!
Since I'm also in NYC, can you name the Bike Repair Shop that did your fixes? Thanks!

OMG, this thread has turned into a real cluster #@&!. The motor clutch problems seem to be directly related to the motors that Eahora is now using. My 2019 X7+ has a Reibok motor and with over 1400 miles on it, I've had no issues (knocks on wood). Honestly, I feel kind of guilty promoting the brand ...

I'm sure C-19 caused some of these issues but sloppy or non-existent QA is the real culprit. These heavy ebikes need much better packaging and to blame FedEx is silly. No handles on a large, heavy, awkward to carry boxes with single wall cardboard is asking for trouble. These are very thin margin products and some issues are to be expected but this is out of control. I can't see Eahora surviving without really stepping up. The question is, do they have the resources (Capital) to make things right ...
Might be cheaper for them to take the chargeback hit than hire staff to handle the issues in a timely manner.

Hello everyone, I'm a new X7 plus(! 😁), and ebike/bike in general, owner since it looked like a good bike with most of the fixings my research told me I wanted for the price. I got the am100 plus for the rest of the family since they don't seem to have as good a taste in bikes as i thought. Those haven't arrived yet.
Unfortunately my bike arrived with a problem...

Assembled it with little issues besides garbage instructions and a missing a screw for the rear suspension that we thankfully had a replacement for but the ebike won't turn on. It only turns on if I plug the charger to the battery first but then it only does so for around a full second or less before shutting off while beeping at me twice. It responds to the remote lock and unlock while plugged in. If unplugged it does this sad half 2 beeps as if its lost all power and doesn't respond to anything until the battery is removed, replaced and then connected back to the charger. When connected to the outlet the charger refuses to turn red and simply stays green the entire time though I'm not sure if it's because the battery is fully charged or it has some other issue.

Now, my family and I are complete novices at this type of thing but we figured it was the battery. Contacted Eahora via the email/ticket contact us on their main site and they agreed, we didn't tell them what we thought was wrong only gave them details on what's happening and they came to the conclusion on their own. They promised to send a replacement battery and a way to ship our current one back. Days go by and no update on the battery so i called in to get one because i didn't want to fall through the cracks for an extended period of time since i've had that happen before. The guy i talked to didn't know what i was talking about with the battery replacement since he couldn't find anything and told me he'd talk to his coworkers and get to the bottom of the issue. This was on Wednesday and no contact. Tried calling on Saturday but not sure if anyone was there since no one picked up so planning to try again on Monday. Getting very leery since they seem to have a randomly good or bad reputation with customer support and missing/broken parts on arrival which i found out as i started looking in depth into the issue.😒 Found this site as an example.

I was always planning to get a second battery anyway since I was expecting to go for extended cruises so i wanted to ask you guys, do you know of anyway to buy a battery for the X7 Plus that doesn't go through their site? I've seen other bikes of the same make but when i measured it the measurements were slightly enough off that i don't think the battery would fit into the case. It's so maddening to finally have the bike here but to not be able to use it since i don't want to actually start taking it out as a regular bike only to have to return it if everything falls through and face issues due to that. 😭 If things stay this way i'm planning to return all 4 bikes despite how much i don't want to do so, mainly because of extra wait time and the fact that i genuinely like my bike.

Any help would be appreciated.

I know a guy that had a battery issue and discovered they did not connect the negative wire inside the case. You could try taking the battery apart and see if that is the same issue you are having. I'm hoping they become responsive again this week. You are not a lone. Most people that received bikes recently are dealing with issues too.

Join our x7 Facebook group, there are a lot of guys there that know a lot about ebikes.

And like Jg1000c said, we had a guy who had a similar problem with the battery. He took the battery apart and found the negative not connect or something. A lot of us are also having problems with the ebike or eahora. But don’t give up hope, some of these issues can be fixed, some. But if you still want to return the bikes there are guys in the group going through that also so you could talk to them also.

Thanks for the heads up with the battery! Read through it and it might actually be the problem......maybe. I'll try to message him to see if he can give me more info. On another note, really want to open it now but does it matter that it voids the warranty? Still unable to get into contact with Eahora since the line is constantly busy or I'm being screened.
May just do it anyway...

I'll make sure to do it a bit later and thanks for the invite. :)

On a separate note, I found this battery:
1593444085436.png

The third version looks like it would fit? The battery title is, "48v ebike battery pack 48v 10ah 10.4ah 11.6ah 12.8ah 13ah 13.6ah 14ah folding mtb electric bike battery for samebike LO26 20LVXD" so the voltage and aps fit though it's for the Samebike LO26. Would that be much of a problem? Just need a second or third or fourth opinion before i commit to ordering it. If it does seem like it'll work i think i may open my current battery to see if any of the connections are unplugged.

Regarding battery issues. All Eahora (and Rattan for that matter) folder owners should look at the information in this old post. Simple fix ...

I sympathize with your X7 delivery plight, ravengt...as I await delivery on my XC100, my fingers are crossed that by miracle of the ebike gods that mine arrives without the reported battery problems, missing pieces, and bent forks!

This ebike below looks eerily similar to the AM100, in fact, almost exact in frame and features, and currently on sale from $1599 to $1199, with free shipping. (A cursury search for this ebike on Amazon.com came up blank.)

EBR has a review, including the same video in the link below, under the Eunorau "Discussion by Brand" section of the forum.

Beautiful bike, looks like a really good deal.

Sorry for the delayed reply - Please call Victors regarding ebike repairs before you decide to carry your bikes there. I used Franks Electric bike (Bronx) shop. The guys there really know what they are doing (they specialize exclusively in electric bikes, scooters, boards and mopeds) and brought my bikes back from dead! They are fully experienced with our Eahora bikes so they know what to do blindfolded. The only issue is sourcing the replacement parts. I think I used up their supply with mine :(~ also plan to leave the bike/s because they are busy!

Bad news guys, it seems that i am indeed being screened by Eahora as i haven't heard a peep from them no matter what i try. To make matters worse the 3 bikes were set to arrive today by both the amazon timer and assurances i got the one time they answered my calls. Was unsure since the tracking said it hadn't even shipped far less is arriving despite what the doa above said. Called amazon and they said there was miscommunication between the shipper and amazon probably resulting in the company listing more bikes than they actually had so no bikes i guess. Cancelled the order and requested a full refund, hopfully they don't give us the runaround with that as well. If the battery i ordered for the X7 fails to get everything working i'll be returning it as well despite wanting to keep it. Would have been more than willing to overlook things because of the times we're currently living in but they won't even accept my calls or communicate in any way. Pretty much killed our excitement. 🙁

Can i ask you guys to give me some recommendations on replacement bikes of similar or greater quality? I'll of course be looking myself as well but i'm not allknowing as was blatently proven here. We live in a very hilly area with some very steep hills so 350w motor + 48v battery is the lowest cutoff with 500w-750w preferred. Mountain or road bikes please.

I'll be routing for you as well. Hopefully the bike gods will look down on you and deem you worthy.😄 You're also right about that, didn't expect to see a possible replacement as soon as i checked the forum lol. Would be a forerunner in the contender-ship if the motor and battery were a step more powerful. It will be my go to buy if i can't find anything else that trumps it however so thanks for the preemptive recommendation. 😉

Edit: Forgot to add the link to the Eahora AM100 bike for comparison.

Hey guys, you might want to check your M5 setting as EAhora set them up weirdly maybe to give fake speed reading. P06 is set to 26 should be at 20, P06 is wheel size. P08 is set to 40kph, should be higher. P18 is set to 110 should be 100, P18 is speed ratio.
Let me know what you guys think, and if you messed with the settings.

Hi. I have the February shipment X7+ with the YL80C display and 40k/h is the highest setting possible. Anyone know if and how that can be changed to 50? Also, what is the correct settings for battery levels 1-5?

I looked up the manual for that display 40 is the highest you can get on that.
