Tyre choice-R&M Delite

My Delite is fitted with Rock Razor tyres (27.5 × 2.35-650B). I'm just wondering what choices I have other than the Rock Razors? I'd like something with a little less rolling resistance as I mostly ride on public roads here in the UK. What would you all recommend? Thanks.

Do you need off-pavement capabilities at all? If not, there are plenty of on-road tires from which to choose.

If you wanted to retain some off-road capabilities, check out Schwalbe's Smart Sam tires.

When I have a tire question like that I go to an online dealer like biketiresdirect.com (I am sure there are other sellers as good or better) and use their filtering system to display the choices.

Still I can spend hours dithering between choices.

@djsb You would want to go with the SuperMoto X tires like @Dmitri says but in the 2.4" width to avoid any potential rubbing. I love the Moto X tires and are perfect for riding on hard compact surfaces and will last longer and provide a significant improvement in comfort.

For off-road use, you will need something more aggressive for traction though.

Thanks for all your replies. I have mudguards (fenders) on my Delite, so I will have to go with as close to 2.35 (inches I presume?) as possible. I've found some
Schwalbe Smart Sams online for £17.99 each which I'm happy with. They are 27.5 × 2.25 inches wide. Will the 0.1 inch difference in width make a difference?
The rims are Alex rims MD40 584 · 40. Can someone please explain how the width of the actual rim (40?) relates to the tyre width (2.35 etc)? Thanks.

PS Just to clarify. My commutes MOSTLY is on public roads. This is mostly tarmac. However, recently I have had to travel on one or two roads that are covered in gravel (the contractors put down loose gravel and rely on the cars to compact it into the substrate of the road. I also have to use a pavement with wet slippery mud and leaves on it.
Can the Schwalbe Super Moto-x handle the mud and gravel and will it last longer than the Smart Sams. The Moto-x is £6 more expensive but seems more popular and would have lower rolling resistance. I don't do any significant off-road riding (only mixed pedestrian/cycle paths and public roads in the UK).
