I have a couple of pairs of Anker Sound Buds, as I like to listen to audio books when riding alone.
One of my sets are from Anker and are pretty good for battery life and audio quality.
I have just finished a personal test of their IPX7 Waterproof ratings.
I did not follow absolute testing protocols of 30 minutes submerged at 1 meter but used the following test methods:
I hope to not repeat this test with any other similar devices and don't recommend it for you either.

I have just finished a personal test of their IPX7 Waterproof ratings.
I did not follow absolute testing protocols of 30 minutes submerged at 1 meter but used the following test methods:
- Leave product in winter vest chest pocket
- Use a Samsung test tank - set on on warm water with extra rinse and long spin
- Add an additional testing liquid - Gain
- Use test tank, on normal agitation to check how rugged ear buds are
- Once test tank procedure completed, run heat and secondary physical abuse test for 52 minutes
I hope to not repeat this test with any other similar devices and don't recommend it for you either.
