Last week I would have said it was chancy but its all change this week so come on over Today the temp was over 50F so perfect for cycling, it won't last though

A beautiful November day. Wet pavement, with bright yellow and brown leaves in the middle and along the edges, with the black road surface showing in two ribbons, as the road winds along the lake. Slashes of sun came through the clouds, making the leafy canopy glow. With the leaves falling, the view is opening up, and we could see across the lake to the other side. With the wet road and wet leaves, we rode slowly in a low PAS, and it was just lovely to take it all in.

Lovely. It felt like I was there riding along side you. I did just come in off a ride (Seahawks kickoff in 2 minutes) just 60 miles to your north in conditions just as you described.

A recent 5-day bike ride from German border town of Passau along the Donau (Danube) river to Wien (Vienna) in Austria a distance of 350km. The Danube cycle path is a popular destination for European cyclists with many completing the entire length of the river in stages over several years. That said, the most popular section is the Passau > Vienna part of the river and is well catered for with charging stations for e-bikers along with a considerable choice in biker friendly hotels. There are also lots of small ferry boats that for a few cents will take you across to the other bank for those who fancy the odd change. Whilst we traveled independently it was not uncommon to see riders opting for package biking holidays with the Austrian company EuroBikes seemingly one of the most popular. https://www.eurobike.at/en . This is not meant to be an endoresement of the company just an observation as I feel sure that anyone considering undertaking such a trip/holiday would research alternatives accordingly.

The Danube, known by various names in other languages, is Europe's second longest river, after the Volga. It is located in Central and Eastern Europe.
The Danube was once a long-standing frontier of the Roman Empire, and today flows through 10 countries, more than any other river in the world. Originating in Germany, the Danube flows southeast for 2,850 km (1,770 mi), passing through or touching the border of Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine before draining into the Black Sea. Its drainage basin extends into nine more countries.

Deeps, thank you for the descriptive note and pictures. Beautiful. Actually reminds me a bit of the commercials we get here in the states for European river cruises (which i'd like to try some day by the way )

Here’s some pictures from a ride I did 3 days ago in North East England

My foldable A2B Kuo+ ebike is very convenient to take on travel. I pack it inside my SUV. These pictures were taken at Lincoln Memorial in DC and at South Pointe in Miami South Beach.

Touring e-bike is clean, oiled and safely tucked up for it's winter sleep. However, with the unusually mild weather continuing here in southern Germany (16°C in November, unbelievable) it would have been a shame not to have got the e-MTB out and conduct a couple of tests. This Bulls e-MTB has no fancy suspension or in fact anything fancy at all but it gives me enjoyment no end. Anyway, I removed the Bosch Intuvia bike computer and replaced it with the COBI-bike device. I'm pleased to say that over the three hours of riding this new gadget behaved impeccably straight out of the box. The other thing I wanted to test was the Fidlock water bottle system. Space on the bike frame being somewhat limited I was obliged to hang it under the top bar but despite deliberately riding over some pretty rough holes in the ground and jarring the frame, the bottle remained firmly attached. There was also absolutely no leaking around the mouth piece as has been reported by some owner so all in all, well pleased.

Another nice day, another opportunity for riding the bike. My route took me past the Bosch Research Campus on the outskirts of Renningen, Germany which is approx 5km/3miles distant from where I live. I wonder if the idea for my bikes put-put CX motor was born here.

Pics from a ride Sunday 23 September.
Took commuter train to get to the area I wanted to explore. Wanted to go to a place called Dalarö.
Upper right encircled in blue is where I live. Rode 3km to a fairly new train station and went 30km by train to Västerhaninge. Green circle is where my ride started and ended and the red marks the area where I was cycling, not the track.

Did about 10km on larger asphalt roads before the real fun began. Several "interesting" gates on this ride But all went well eventually.

Here are a few more from the ride to Dalarö. These are from the island Dalarö. I had a pizza in the village of Dalarö (last photo) and then at around 6.30 started my 21km ride back to the train station. 72km on trip meter when arriving home. This day I actually managed to get a bit tired as I wanted to do those 21km in less than an hour to catch my train. You know my bike motor cuts off at 25km/h and I´m an Eco-mode fetischist
First pic may look like a bike lane but it´s a road. Varying landscape on that little island. And changing weather as well.



I will go back to Dalarö next summer because I found out there is a small ferry going from Dalarö to the island of Ornö. That island is not more than 12 or 13km from "top to bottom" but with many little roads to explore so I guess I could ride 30-40km there.

Some amazing scenery there, looks like a lot of fun to ride 25km/h cut off here also but it helps battery life, I mostly use eco mode also

Friday morning on the Brisbane River (Fernvale, Queensland, Australia) ...

On this morning's ride (Ride with GPS record) I took a break on the left bank of the Brisbane River near Fernvale - about 75 km from where the river enters Moreton Bay and about 20 km from home via the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and deserted country roads.

This was where I used to paddle my kayak in years decades gone by: happy memories of the 1970s and 80s!

Right: Without asking my permission, the Trek Powerfly 5 photographed me photographing it! My Cycliq combined light and video camera is mounted on the underside of the handlebar bag (an unusual arrangement not altogether suitable for an eMTB without mudguards). The Cycliq's image quality is clearly inferior to that of my old iPhone 6 (four years = ancient?).
