Great looking trail. It may not be PC these days but tobacco was America's first high-value export crop. From cigar wrapper, shade grown leaf in Connecticut to Virginias and Burleys in the mid-Atlantic to Perique in Louisiana, it is all part of a long and rich history.
Durham once had the distinction of being the place were they first machine rolled cigarettes commercially. Ironically, now it's a med-tech center.
