Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

I set myself a target of 3000 miles this year and I'm already at 2868 and I have another 2 days off work so I should be pretty close to my target this week :)

Well you might but if you keep stopping every few minutes to snap a photograph your aim might be a bit hard to achieve. :D:D:D

True:pmy mileage would be doubled without the photos :D Tomorrow is going to be very cold so more cycling and less photos;)

This is a section of an old logging road known as a mainline. It’s about 3 straight miles of mostly crushed stone with a few of the old pavement sections poking through. Not real exciting riding but led to the rest of the intended route that got more exciting as it went along.

I’m on my 2nd Ortlieb handlebarbag. The first lasted almost 15 years. The last years it wasn’t waterproof because the corners of the lid got torn over the years but I had used it several times a week (almost daily) April to November during these years. I put some gaffer tape in some places on the inside of the lid:)
My ”new” is made of a different material and the form of the lid should prevent it from wear as the old one.
The lid overlaps well and fits very snugly but I guess it can’t 100% waterproof in a really heavy rainstorm. I have however never worried keeping my phone in the bag during trips in normal rain.
The Ortlieb bags , but no bike, is what I have right now. The bike I’ll get for spring will definitely be equipped with a KlickFix mount for my handlebar bag.[/QUOT

Another 50 miler today, too cold to take as many pics as usual...very enjoyable ride once again though :) Only 82 miles more to hit my 3000 mile target for the year :)

I'm not entirely sure that you are actually riding this bike but carrying it. :D:D The road surface in the pictures are wet and strewn with leaves and yet the bike is spotlessly clean. Do you give it a wash and polish before taking each picture? :D

  • Photo was taken immediately to left of 'Them', looking south.
  • The aerial photo looks like it was taken very early on a Sunday morning: traffic's not like that normally! If you want to figure out where the cars are going, please remember to drive on the left!
  • Motorised traffic is not only above and beyond and behind and to the left and right of the cycleway but, most significantly, below it in a series of tunnels.
  • In central Brisbane cars and trucks and all things that belch fumes are kept above ground or below it; that's the intention, anyway.
  • There is also a general rule that urban motorways must have accompanying cycleways - not the most enjoyable place to go ride a bike but definitely an ebike commuter's boon.
  • Click for Ride with GPS record of this 76 km ride from western suburbs to Nudgee Beach (where the floating cycleway mentioned previously ended up in the 2011 floods).
  • The photo above is at 19.5 km on way north (GPS trail shows where I moved the ebike from one side of the path to the other for the photo - scarily accurate!). The Ride with GPS record also shows dedicated cycleways alongside motorways and major roads as well as through parks and along the Brisbane River.

We were cheated out of a lot of good fall riding weather this season. A foot of snow fell here in northeast Pennsylvania last week. The only riding I could manage was a few miles on one of our local fire roads that is kept open. Not much fun riding with temps in the mid 20's anyway. I'm going to have to swap tires if I do much more winter riding. The OEM Fat Franks on the bike are not good in snow.

Hey I like those mag wheels No spokes to break . Did the bike come with those?

Yes, the mags were a $400 option on the Pedego Platinum Interceptor. They are cast aluminum, not plastic like some on the market. They do solve spoke issues, especially if you carry cargo. Not cheap though.

What happened to your Fabric water bottle?
The pair of Fabric bottles are on the Nevo GH with the same double cage stem cap hanger set-up. That's the bike Nancy rides. I really like the insulated stainless one as it does not impart any plastic taste.

DO those cast aluminum rims add much weight compared to spokes ?
