So far behind last year. I'm at 1126km so far. Oh well...

Starting to get to be the time of year where part of the commute is into the setting sun. Luckily, my commute is 90% North/South.

Visited the Fremont Troll under the Aurora Bridge while I was in the neighborhood.

It’s been a pretty blasé week of riding here. Not much to report but hope to change that with a side trip to the mountain resort of Banff on Tuesday.

A section of road that we normally ride has been under construction for several months but this steel wheeled roller on a flatdeck trailer seen leaving the site was a positive sign that work was nearing completion.

The road remains closed sans centerlines but we snuck by the barricades and rode as far as the we could along the fresh blacktop. Our progress was halted further up the road as the crews were still shoring up the side shoulders.

Rolling south on RR 760 towards home with nothing but open road ahead.

Our friend married a lad from Seattle and all his mates came over for the wedding in the UK.
I drove them around in my Grand Cherokee, which I had at the time.
We went on a pub crawl with me sober driving , everytime we returned to the car, one of them would get in the drivers seat.
I started to think, that would be a good excuse getting caught drunk entering a vehicle
Whoa .Im American, whats the steering wheel doing there?

Another random ride today of 27km.
Somehow I gravitated towards Watershed Park, and entered the uppermost trail.

Parts of the trail were a bit "hairy" with roots and rocks. A pedal strike almost put me into the bushes, but thankfully a quick dab allowed recovery...

I hadn't seen this structure before, or at least I don't remember it...

Then I dropped onto the greenway heading North...

Pretty rare to see a city truck on this path...

One of these things is not like the other...

Random pictures on this morning ride. Stop at Philippine express for goat meat adobo and to Sea food market where I had an expensive Philippine style shave ice topped with pineapple ice cream. Then I pedaled to longs pharmacy, pick up my meds. And then brief Stop at the pump to say hello to the Korean owner then off to pipeline to buy Cannabis.
Temperature was reaching 85 but feel like 95 so slowly I pedaled towards home.
Typical Saturday for me. I got the pleasure of riding while taking care of business. Did all this within 7 miles, furthest destination was to f
First Hawaiian bank. It was next town over at Pearl Ridge was the only one open on Saturday.

Is your puddle gone ??

Today I had a plan to do a circumnavigation of Delta. That would include a stop at the office to say HI and antagonize those working. HA!
But... it was windy as heck. The wind was coming from the West, and heading West was miserable at Mud Bay. So...
As I headed South I decided to head East. Ahhh... the wind was with me... I had to get to 30km/h to even feel wind in my face!

Then headed South again to South Surrey...

Serpentine River that feeds Pacific Ocean...

Nico Wynd Golf course...

Nicomeckl River feeding the Pacific Ocean...

Now THAT'S a bike lane!

Too soon!!!

Done like dinner...
