The Aventon Pace 500 has hydraulic brakes and class 3 speed, and IMO is the better ebike between those 2 which are very close in price when equipped equally (BTW, the juiced CrossCurrent S2 is +$400 more and you still have to pay +$100 more to add rack & fenders and tail light, so the comparison is apples and oranges as it is out of the price range of the Aventon and Rad). The Aventon Pace 500 also weighs 14lb less than the RadCity (49lb vs 63lb). It also comes in small/medium/large sizes & 2 colors and a step-thru in small/medium and 2 colors, to bike fit you perfectly. Rack, fenders lights for the Aventon can be had for $108 extra (see list below), and IMO they will be better than the included rack fender and lights of the Rad (albeit not integrated, but can be made such with a $3 dc to USB converter
https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/integrated-brake-light.25988/#post-181068 , and a hell of a lot brighter to be seen on the road even during daytime). You also might want to add a suspension seatpost and/or suspension fork on the Aventon. To compare apples to apples you would have to add a suspension fork on the Pace 500 (+$56
