My name is Jay, just turned 69, I live in a 55 active adult community called SaddleBrooke. I take my 2 dogs out for bike runs (one at a time) every morning.
The idea of getting an e-bike has been on my radar for some time. I plan on doing mostly paved road riding but there is a more adventurous side in me that may wonder wonder of into the desert from time to time.
I have finally decided to go with the Radcity and as I am 5'9" and 178 lbs, I will buy the 16.
I want to get the Suntour seatpost, and top tube bag.
What trunk bag to get is yet to be determined. Any thoughts as to what best fits the included rack.
How have the standard tires held up? I plan on doing the assembly myself. Any tips.
All your feedback will be appreciated.

Welcome Jay!

I just purchased a Radcity Step-thru for my wife at the start of summer. She loves the ebike and how easy it is to ride. I added the Bodyfloat v2.0 seatpost along with the Cloud-9 12.5X11.5 cruiser seat. The standard Radcity city saddle still felt too small and hard to us. I also added the 1859 Northwest JA ebike throttle and Topeak DXP trunk bag with fold out panniers and velcro strap to secure to the rear rack (nice to have the extra capacity when needed).

I had the cell phone holder on the handlebars; but, she didn't like it there. I added the Odier bike handlebar extender between the LCD screen and moved the cell phone holder there. I also added an AUX light that blinks because I think it help you to be seen better by regular or distracted drivers when sharing the road.

I did the assembly myself for the Step-Thru and minor issues I had were:
- front brake cable was ran behind and around the forks. Need to disconnect cable and re-route the right way.
- about 25% of the spokes were loose and some took 2-4 turns to properly TQ
- tried to remove the rear wheel (add Mr. Tuffy liner) and it would budge at all when I disconnected and loosen everything. My Radrover rear wheel pops out much easier.
- took a few sessions of adjusting/road test to get the brakes just right
- I double checked all nuts/bolts/screws and some were loose. Re-checked again after several weeks of riding.
- needed to tighten down the rebound rate of the front forks because it was too bouncy at top speed and make the Radcity feel a little squirrelly. Solid as a rock at 20 mph.
