Delite Mountain suspension air pressure

When setting the air pressure for the front and rear suspension on my Delite Mountain, I used the table published by the fork and rear suspension manufacturer. They give a PSI rating for a given body weight. But the table isn’t ebike specific. Are we supposed to add some extra weight to account for the bike itself being heavier?

The extra weight is already accounted for. When the bike is just sitting there without a rider, the sprung components (the frame, motor, battery, etc.) are compressing the suspension. Just not very much.

The best way to set up your suspension on the Delite Mountain and any other bike with a suspension will depend on how and where you ride. A good general rule of thumb is to set the sag to around 25% - 35%. But don’t forget you also have a rebound adjust which will allow you to set up how fast or how slow the suspension reacts after being compressed (hitting bumps, pot holes, riding on rough terrain etc.....)

Here is a great and fun video that will walk you through the essentials on how to set up your bike based on the total load (rider + any additional load).

A properly set up suspension on such a great bike will make a world of difference and really allow you to experience the full potential of the bike. A poorly set up suspension can really ruin the potential capabilities of a great bike. Take some time to learn how to tune your suspension. It’s easy to do and is time well spent and will give you the best riding experience from your bike.

Hope this help you out and let me know how you make out or have any questions,
