I can tell you that it’s actually possible. I was in your situation a year ago. The conventional wisdom at that time was that it was maybe possible but not recommended.
Long story short, after much research, I found a 2016 Charger NuVinci owner who underwent the swap successfully. I suggest you reach out to Richerto via this site:

Note how casually he mentions the conversion “After a lot of thought I decided ...” I would be curious to learn if you follow up with him whether the swap was considered difficult or if it was prohibitively expensive.
Ultimately, I was able to get an estimate for the work to retrofit Rohloff/E14 to a Charger 2017 here in the US. Even without shop labor it made little sense financially. If you are interested in any details, feel free to DM, but as you are in Hamburg, Richerto’s experience should be directly relevant.
For US ebikers in search of Rohloff support - Cycle Monkey is hit-or-miss. I had one RM dealer offer to put together an estimate for the conversion via CM who never responded. The final sarcastic comment from the dealer when I closed the ticket was “Out eating bananas?”
The technical skills of the proprietor are not in question. The problem is the one-guy-bottleneck for anything beyond “add to cart/checkout.”
