Anybody else oil a chainsaw manually?

I dread seeing a MS250 saw come thru the department. I have to run it on the liquid cooled dyno because the 250 loves to pick up a vibration/oscillation. I clamp them down thru the handles and use a wood clamp to quell vibrations on the bottom of the loop handle. The 250 will also give you a nice little compression kick once in awhile, another reason for the dread. But once running they are great saws. Good power and balance. New it takes 3 pulls on full choke, then 3 pulls on half choke. It used to be 2 pulls max but modern emissions standards no longer let you dump fuel thru the ports and out of the exhaust! All old chainsaws are so dirty! We get to run a old saw once in awhile and its shocking how much blow-by comes thru the exhaust!
