Wahoo ELEMNT (Roam and Bolt v2) on Specialized e-bikes (Garmin Edge compared)

Just a matter of style — kph vs. km/h. Both make sense, and both are unambiguous.

If we want to get finicky about physical quantities and units that actually make a difference in an ebike context, we should require a proficiency test in telling the difference between mass (kg) and force (Newtons), between stored electrical energy (Watt-hours) and rate of energy transfer (Watts), and between electrical and mechanical wattage in electric motors. These are all very different physical quantities.

I think we (you, Base, I) understand it well.

I cannot agree to the kph though. It is something only North Americans could invent :) Wahoo seems to get a lot of requests from the European users! All in all, the whole road cycling world is metric ;)

Regarding lbmol and kmol: The American definition is "the amount of matter expressed in pounds". The SI definition is: "kmol is the amount of matter expressed in kilogram". By chance, 1 kilogram-mole is equal to 1000 gram-moles (moles per SI definition) :)

Well, we're quite happy with our mph and kph. If they irritate folks who like to think their way is the only way — when the only truly rational way is m/s, which no one uses in daily life — so much the better!

On the other hand, I have no attachment to any unit having to do with pounds.
