Swapping pedals

Has anyone else concluded that our otherwise truly amazing R&M bikes might be deficient in the “grippiness” of the pedals?

I love my new Delite GX, but the stock pedals feel as slippery as plastic.

I’ve ordered some Shimano’s to swap out and to try to achieve a more stable connection.

I think most manufacturers fit cheap pedals, (or none), to their bikes, because they know they are a very personal thing, and most people will change them. First thing I did was change the pedals on my charger, for some DMR V8s, great pedals. Got them in white to match the bike, they look awesome.

Switched both my Haibike and R&M Charger GX to Origin 8 Slimlines. And ride with Etnies skateboard/bmx Michelin-soled shoes:

All pedals are the same size socket. Be sure to grease the pedal axle nut threads when you put them in
