Successful TSDZ2 on Cypress DX build...

Successful TSDZ2 build. I chose the TSDZ2 because it has the torque sensor instead of cadence. I prefer the natural feeling that I get from a torque sensor, albeit with bionic legs.

I got the ECO+ motor kit which contains custom programming up to 100rpm before the assist backs off. I figure that'll cover the range of speeds that I pedal at!

The build didn't take long, and it was not difficult. Everything dropped in without a hitch, and there were no collisions between the housing and the bike.

I ordered the 860C display, but it came with the wrong cable so I had to use the XT-18 this morning. I fired it up! It worked. No smoke escaped, so I figured I would take it out on the trail...

The ECO+ performed wonderfully... up to 300% assist. I went about 10 miles and it continued to perform to my liking. So I am pleased to add this bike to my collection! ha!

Anything you guys want to see? I can go out and take pictures! :)

I'm still waiting for my bottle batteries... I can't wait to do a test of the range... and also the aesthetics on the bike! Ha!

Nice Mike! Congrats.
I just made this one today. It has an 11-50 Box 3, 9-sp cassette. Instead of having an old battery I throw those in to sweeten a deal before they sag. This battery had a flat top this morning.

So I just took the Black Cypress for a quick 10 mile ride. I was hoping to see what kind of range I get out of the TSDZ2. Unfortunately, 10 miles was not enough to budge the green bar on the display. It still thinks it has 100% left on the battery.

so here's the question... what kind of range do you guys get on a 48V 750W TSDZ2 with a 13Ah battery? I am on turbo mode... but the terrain is basically flat... do those factors cancel each other out? ha!

range depends on a lot of different factors

@EMGX

Yeah, I know range depends on myriad factors, I was just hoping to get some ideas...

Looking at your pics there is too much of a spread for me to guess what I might get out of 13Ah. Somewhere between 55 and 132 miles, right? But if I can get 20 to 30 miles with some reserve left over, I'm good!

If it goes over 60 F. today I'll try 20 miles and see if I can budge the green battery bar!

So I did the 20 miles today. At about 18 miles the green bar finally dropped down one notch! I'm not sure if that's 10% or 20%. It looks a lot like 10%.

How far can I draw it down safely? To the 40% mark? Or what is the cutoff?
