Ok -I’ve really enjoyed my MXS! But getting Sondors to send me the correct motor for THEIR BIKE,is frustrating!!!!
Just received motor number 2- WRONG
AGAIN.
Sorry needed some ventilation- here’s pics, they keep sending motors with connection cables that are too short-
Original 10.25 axle cable exit to end
Replacement 6.75 = 3.5 inches too short

Have someone extend the cable for you, There's three thick wires for power and six small signal wires in there. Somebody at a PC shop. Tell him to use butt connectors on the thick wires.

They’ve sold 100,000 ebikes - if they can’t fulfill this super basic request....... No surgery until it’s the patient’s last option, but thanks!

i agree, screwing it up twice is already super lame! what happened to the original motor?

After 5K started making noises - now I know it was failed planetary gears (3 teeth broke on 1 gear) but before all this I was hesitant to open up the motor (over that- really no problem)
So I figured I buy the whole new motor and potential rebuild the old one as a back up-
Should’ve just bought a new clutch.....

Well, I appreciate your complaint a lot better now. I thought you had two motors sent on warranty, but you paid for the first one. Plus the original motor shouldn't have failed.

Although unlikely-Maybe I’m the first MXS owner to have a clutch failure?or maybe others have received the wrong motor and simply wept and started walking?in the scheme of things... it’s nothing- but every day I receive another ad “Act Now! Are bikes are Amazing “ it’s irritating-

You can buy an extension cable, pretty simple fix.

Hopefully their ineptitude won’t cause me to bridge a 3.5 inch gap with a f****** 4foot cable!!!! Thanks I’ve saved the link for that possibility!

Ok, so there are two versions of the 750w motor Sondors uses. One is for the fat bike which I believe has shorter chainstays and the MXS which I believe has longer chainstays. If your not a member of the Sondors Owners Group on Facebook I’d join. Someone will most likely buy your motor. Then I’d contact Sondors and let them know you need a motor for a MXS and it has to have a 10 inch cable.
