Yep, both sunrise and sunset were deep red yesterday. And my eyes were stinging after the ride home from work. The AQI is 3 times worse now than it was yesterday...

As if that’s not enough, folks in Metro Van have had to deal with smoke billowing from an industrial wood fiber fire.

The news just said Portland has the worst air quality in the world now. Followed closely by Vancouver, then Seattle. CN

its down to 110 far better then last time but nothing great for sure.

The skies were relatively clear on this morning’s ride with just visible dust kicked up from the locals tilling their fields though an air quality statement still remains in effect for our area.

Ugh…Vancouver was reported to have taken #1 spot as having the worst air quality in the world on Sunday. Looks like things have improved since then dropping down to 9th spot. Still, not an enviable position to be in. Promising news is that the smoke will thin out somewhat by tonight and a clearing trend is in the forecast.

Unfortunately, no pictures or video, but I saw a little car slam into the back of a heavy equipment trailer being pulled by a big pickup. Smashed the entire front of his car, headlight assemblies were dragging on the ground as he tried to pull off to the side.
