Spotted this mid engine Cherry Red Pantera in a parking lot on today’s ride. Couldn’t get decent full pics as there were other vehicles parked on either side of it. Must be a nightmare having to back this thing out.

I thought of you @Rome when I took this pic since you seem to have an affinity for trains. Locomotive 6015 looks just right at its permanent home on main street Jasper, AB. It was one of 16 built by the Canadian Locomotive Co. in 1923 and was used to pull the Canadian version of the ‘Orient Express’ through the Cdn Rockies. Long gone but never forgotten.

It’s modern-day replacement behind it is the Rocky Mountaineer. With its bi-level glass covered dome coaches, passengers aboard are pampered with a gourmet dining experience and are surrounded by spectacular views.

How about the Blue Ridge Tunnel in VA.
Really cool history!! I did a 28 mile round trip ride to there today from the RV park.
There really IS light at the end of the tunnel!!

Looking closer it would appear that gap alignment was not high on the priority list in those days. Nevertheless it is a beauty and has A/C which was very rare in this neck of the woods.
