Images from a recent trip to the Drumheller Badlands. There was just a bit of smoky haze in the afternoon but otherwise the skies were pretty fair.

On almost every street corner of Drumheller, you’re likely to come across dinos of all shapes, colors and sizes and some of the figures were constructed with a bit more creative flair. I guess one would come to expect that as the area is home to the largest deposits of dinosaur bones plus it’s a great draw for anyone visiting the town.

Oh dear oh dear. I should give you my Hydra. You would make SO much better use of it than I EVER have. Or ever will.

I would be tempted to take you up on that generous offer, Reed if it wasn’t for the fact that I recently acquired a new emtb back in April. I still remember the day when you took delivery of your WW. The red crown and lowers really stood out against the matte frame. Gorgeous bike. I don’t think there’s much decent trail riding around Drumheller, mostly people hiking around looking to score on fossil finds.

I have been there and it is a weird and wonderful spot... aptly named indeed. The museum is excellent!

Geezer inspiration : Here is a 15 min piece on 73 year old North Shore Betty.
‘It doesn’t matter what age or level you’re at, you still feel like your fast, it’s that feeling of freedom. ‘ - North Shore Betty

I love her spunky attitude and admire that she hasn’t lost the urge to shred with those younger than her. Truly an inspiring soul!

Thanks for sharing, Steve! The North Shore looks to be where it’s at. 👍

man this guy drives. bit crazy. I like how he wonders what those guys are saying about him after he passes them. lucky the trailer was empty.

saw this guy with a angle grinder I cud not tell if it was cordless. but it sure makes you wonder.
Riding off to his next job I presume. I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt but there’s no denying it’s looks a bit dodgy when you see a guy on a bike with a power grinder slung over his shoulder. One can only speculate what he’s toting inside his pack. Overdue library books perhaps?
