SHOW us YOUR PIX here .... Odd, WeiRd ,UnUSuAl or EyE CaTchIng things from your rides

It's Blackberry time here for the last few weeks and if the weather stays cool will be so for another few. I pick a gallon a day off my bike, I have several patches to choose from, while under the guise of a bike ride.

I put them in the freezer and then vacuum bag them in half gallon portions. They are great to add to winter breakfasts and holiday pies!

But the Bears don't have a freezer and just gorge on them every time they come around.....

And that answers the question of where the Bear @#*%$ in the woods.
Just don't pick 'em lower than waist high... cuz someone/something prolly peed on 'em. 😄

Part of our route when transitioning from one trail to another involves cutting through a parking lot on the north end of the city. Today it appeared that the circus has come to town. It was kind of eerie not seeing a soul around but I suspect that will change come the weekend.

when the police don't look and take the middle of the bike path. I guess he did not like how long my wife range the bell but then again he did not move either.
Police do not yield. Nor should they. They are the ones with guns and licenses to kill. I mean … someone has to have that right, agreed? Why not the Police? And, come on, no whining about your police district.

OK, we are off topic. Sorry!

We had a nice, late summer ride on the Vermont side of the river today. The fall colors will be starting soon.

New Hampshire is “The Granite State”, but Vermont seems to have more quarries and stone buildings. They are the twin states, so I guess that they can share that too.

Very nice. I think those contemporary sculptures add a certain curb appeal to the setting. I’ve cycled past this particular home many times and often wondered what the neighbors thought of it’s front yard display. It was eventually taken down though I can’t imagine why.

Perfect weather for a ride on Pensylvania's Pine Creek Trail last week:

The Wingstem were in bloom, lining both sides to the trail. Some were 10' tall!

A little farther down, I almost ran over this guy:

He rattled at me as I passed to thank me for not running him over :)

I get to ride around beautiful farmland for most of my rides. Lancaster has 25 (probably 24 now) covered bridges, the most out of any county in the country. I've driven through most of them, but I get to ride through a couple just about every day. Sometimes you have to watch out for hooligans hanging out inside at night :)

And trolls underneath. I spent some leave time in Leola back in 1973. My bike was a Triumph Bonneville back then. Fond memories of nice country and good friends. Thanks for sharing.

the bike path was fun today. they have been clearing out some homeless camps. as we went through this car was not there. 20 minutes later there it is. not sure what they were doing often it is a homelesss persons car with no plates. I have seen so many cars parked sometimes of a long time or sometimes even burned.
then when we get to a main intersection an idiot on a motorcycle. two idiots in such short time.

Unbelievable. You ride through some pretty sketchy areas there Foofer. I guess the guy on the motorbike must have had a much broader interpretation of what the MUP acronym stands for.

its the main path but they have been pretty lazy about keeping up with the homeless since the pandemic. one camp on a section I use almost every day has had camps since the pandemic since they stopped cleaning them out. for the first time in 3 years they finally cleaned it out. there are much worse sections a lot of regular people use this path daily. I have been seeing motorized scooters and such on it but the motorcycle is the first.
