The next day was from Clark Fork, ID to Priest Lake, ID. The first part along Idaho Highway 200 was scary and onerous with poor shoulders, poor sight lines, and heavy traffic. The second half was on either steep and rugged mountain roads or decent gravel roads with nearly nonexistent traffic:

Oh, and these small mountain towns have great taverns which not only serve fine beers but also make great cheeseburgers. According to my Garmin I am burning 4000+ calories per day so I needn't feel bad about that cheeseburger either.

The next two days we had very severe weather, approximately two inches of rain fell. So things were rough and not too many photos were taken.

The first day was a very long and very soggy day from Priest Lake to the thriving metropolis of Ione, Washington. I took the long way around because the USFS people and locals I spoke too all agreed that attempting to cross the intervening mountains in the coming storm was completely deranged. So I had the longest day of the trip (around 79 miles):

The next morning was still rainy so I dawdled until late and made a relatively short ride to Northport, WA. Numb fingers precluded very many photos so here is my bike drying out at my lodgings for the night:

Today it was back to decent spring weather and I made the long trek to Grand Forks, BC. For the most part all of the roads in this section were very lightly traveled, even US 395. So it was a pleasant day's ride.

We had a warm day on Wednesday, so I rode into the city. The bird was just singing away, adding to an already enjoyable day at the park.

As I recall I bought it online from Probikekit for about $45cdn. It is the 4.5 litre bag and fits the Bosch powerpack well.

I had a very enjoyable ride yesterday in perfect riding conditions, I was thinking about a 100 miler but decided to make it a 60 miler to leave me some time to enjoy my motorbike in the nice conditions! On my way home I could see some dark clouds (no rain forecast) in my neck of the woods, I reached the outskirts of my home town and it was very dark and threatening to pour down...I turned into my street and I could feel the rain starting!

I have never opened my garage and parked my motorbike as fast in my life I just made it as within 5 minutes it was throwing it down So I had a perfect Sunday but it was back to reality today My 2019 total is now 1493 miles so 2507 miles to go to reach my target! I changed my toe clips to a different type and attached them to the Wellgo flat pedals that came with my bike and they are so much better, it feels like my feet are properly in the pedals again

I haven’t been on any longer excursions lately but I’ve used my bike to go visit friends who live 7-14 miles away. I have also been taking in Mr. Coffee’s pictures and words from his ongoing tour.
Last evening I made a tour by the water around the southern part of Stockholm. Left my office (3.5 miles from where I live) at 6.15 p.m. and rode 13 miles in a relaxed tempo stopping for ice cream and later coffe and a sandwich at the vista in last photo.



I also ran across a car meeting at a parking lot. Do you know what car has this hood ornament?


Continued riding by the water and stopped for a break at a popular viewpoint on the north face of the same island.

Nash it is, a Metropolitan. I somehow got the impression it was from second half of the 50s but I’m not sure.

Learned to drive in a Nash Ambassador which was as big as the Metropolitan was small. Only real positive was the reclining front seats, perfect for teen age dating. Never expected getting an ebike to bring back those memories, thanks.

That reminds me of the Nash Ramber station wagon I used to haul my drums around to gigs in. It had a dashboard push button gear selector. The steering wandered so badly. Driving home late on narrow ,dark
roads flanked by deep ditches demanded my full attention. I was glad to upgrade to a Volkswagon passenger bus.
