Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

This morning's ride brought me here, to vote! That's vote in the European Elections. The corrupt organisation we as a nation voted in to leave THREE years ago, and should have acted up on this just gone March. Politicians - don't ya just love them?

Raining today, no riding. Yesterday was beautiful and warm. I picked up my bike at 4.30 pm at my LBS after its first free check up and service.
Stopped for an ice cream and coffe at the same viewpoint as the day before. Took a picture looking NNW. The ride home is only 7.5 miles so I added 5-6 miles to enjoy more the lovely evening.

Coffee to warm you up after ice cream, or the other way round? Nice sitting there whichever.

Warm up or the other way around? Don’t know really, I’ve developed a taste for the combination and can’t resist it if offered:)

Last day to home. Of course me being me the leisurely 40-odd miles turned into 60 with a huge side trip and mucho elevation gain. As an added bonus my descent into the valley was on a very rough road -- it was like being in a paint mixer for half an hour. Some gear got banged up on the descent and I'll need to figure out how to make repairs.

The ascent on Road 42:

Sawtooth mountains in the distance. On the other side of those mountains is Lake Chelan, and there is a steep, lonely, and very spooky road that crosses them. That trip is for another day:

I have always said that with a bicycle (or e-bike) it is easy to take a side trip on day tours. Seems you took side trips to a new level:)
Thank you so much for your reports and photos.

I’m no nutrition expert but maybe you need more than one pizza slice after that ride:rolleyes:

Rest assured that considerably more nutrition than that was consumed once I got home.

One surprising challenge on semi-long-distance tours such as this one is eating well. In very small towns your dining and grocery shopping options are usually very limited and often poor. It was too early in the season for fruit stands and/or farmer's markets as well, and in some of the villages I visited most places were closed "for the season" anyway.

Mr. Coffee! Right now I am too lazy to look up if the 42 road is Buck Pass or not. Last year a friend and I tried to go over Lone Frank Pass from Salmon Meadows and bailed after bike problems and we felt the road was so rough it was beating us up. We have been contemplating Buck Pass or a ride from the South Summit down to Benson Creek and on down to the valley.

I'll probably do a ride to Conconully and back before that.

Should you happen to be in the Okanogan Highlands again, they have delicious burgers at the Bonaparte Lake Resort. They are good and messy. They will probably be open full time now, except for when closed....:)

Thanks for the tips.

Yes, Lone Frank Pass road is very ugly. Probably the Benson Creek route would be easier on your bike and your body than going down the Beaver Creek Road, which hammered my body, my bike, and my gear. I'm still sorting out the damage.

I remember Bonaparte Lake Resort well, I through-hiked the PNWT in 2010 and stopped there for recovery and the burgers before a very long day and a morning to Oroville.

My ride today

The weather forecast for this weekend is pretty dismal so I decided to do a Friday night ride, I'm so glad I did because it was a beautiful night and well worth the effort! I was hoping to do around 30 miles but that turned into 52 miles :D I got back just before dark, long time since I did that on my bike ;) I got quite a workout with over 3500ft of climbing, I can feel it in my legs today! My 2019 total is now 1545 very enjoyable miles :)
