Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Today's ride up on "the flats". There's a couple of turkeys in the picture if you look closely at it. There is a big group of wild turkeys that winters in the orchards. They do not hold still for photos, in fact, I didn't think I got any turkeys by the time I dug out my camera.

It was very windy and I needed no assist once I got going with the wind at my back. Then, I had to head into the wind but it was in a more sheltered area. Anyway, here be turkeys. The looked fat. I wonder if they eat the apples that are on the ground?

It was the first day of my short break from work today and I was lucky to get out for a ride, it was very icy at first but the forecast was looking promising and it was expected to hit 4C around midday! I looked outside and it didn't look too clever though but I decide to go for it...I was extremely lucky not to get soaked! I finished with a very flithy bike but still enjoyed a nice 48 mile ride, you will see from the photos that I was very lucky to get home relatively dry!

I took advantage of a "warm" 44 degree sunny day and rode 42 miles. Yesterday it was only 10 miles at 24 degrees. Five miles of the ride were along the Airline Trail in eastern Connecticut. The trail was a little muddy but avoids a problematic highway crossing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Line_State_Park_Trail

No more pretty colors but its nice to see blue sky and sun.

IMG_3839.jpeg

Several nights with temperatures in the low teens have frozen the small ponds.

I had to wait a while today for the frost and ice to melt but eventually I was rewarded with a beautiful sunny day and although it was very cold I had such a good trip with lots of ups and downs, just the way I like it :) 42 miles today which takes my 2019 total to 3,364 miles from 58 rides which earily means my average distance is also exactly 58 miles:D Hopefully another ride tomorrow and Tuesday before the dreaded return to work;)

Well done. Cool 58;58 ratio.
It will however from now and on be hard to keep that 1:1 ratio between number of rides and average distance per ride. 59x59 = 3.481 so you would have to do 117 miles tomorrow😉
Don’t try, it’s not the right time of year😄

I would say impossible😁 maybe I should just finish my year now;) I was actually hoping to keep my average above 60 but its looking unlikely now unless the weather is more kind to me!

Great year for you Rab. I've knocked it on the head now until Jan 2nd. Got a few Snooker tournaments to play in too keep me occupied til then. If I only break even paying the travel and such expenses, it will be fun.

Yeah I'm happy with it, I will keep going until I have to stop! Today was like a carbon copy of yesterday weather wise, maybe just a touch colder! Another very enjoyable ride despite the cold, lots of whiteness where the sun didn't get through which made for some stunning scenery :) Just under 45 miles today so my 59:59 ratio didn't happen as expected:p I just love riding so onwards and upwards!

Some of that white stuff on the road doesn't look very reassuring. Careful where you put those tires. :)
My Schwalbe Marathons are actually quite grippy in the frost but I'm always extra careful at this time of year and stick mainly to the gritted roads!

With Lovelec Diadem in Tłuste, Mazovia, Poland. I now take daily 40+ km (25+ mi) rides for commuting, fitness and fun. I enhanced Lovelec with proper winter tyres, strong lighting, a Mirrycycle, better saddle, better pedals etc etc. I have chosen this e-bike for the coming winter as it gives great range at good average speed (the bike is "restrictable on demand") and comfortable riding position. It is also quite cheap and simple in maintenance. I even ordered a spare 576 Wh battery so inexpensive it is compared to the Western standards.

Cold and strong headwinds are issue here now. I took the photo from inside a bus shelter where I was taking some rest after riding into headwind on the PAS 3 (this is effectively a Turbo mode as PAS 4 or 5 take no apparent effect greater than PAS 3).

Here, with Turbo Vado 5.0 on another regular ride in a nearby village. Again, resting in a bus shelter. I must say Turbo Vado 5 has hopeless battery range even if it is a 604 Wh battery. There's no fun riding in Eco mode on the fast Vado; it becomes only agile in the Sport mode but the battery is used up definitely too early. So no real winter rides with Turbo Vado. Beautiful e-bike, so fast, comfortable and cutting fly-overs like a knife cutting butter but the range anxiety is beyond belief here...

Good to hear your Lovelec works fine for you. Sad to hear the range problems with you Vado.

Yes a second battery is always onboard my bike now and sometimes even a third. As the temperature drops so does my range and quite noticeably. I am thinking about buying a second set of wheels to keep my Ice spiker tires ready at all times when the temperature is close to freezing.

Started today Steve. Already down. Played in Leeds 60 miles away. Twenty pounds entry fee, £20 fuel and £18 meal. I don't drink, tea and coffee free. Won £40 highest break (87) First frost and ice of the autumn tonight so last few miles off the motorway was tricky. Excellent day all round.
a great way to spend the rainy days!
