I’ve done a lot of work on cars over the years so I have a lot of tools but I did get a bike stand for Christmas a couple of years ago.

I like that castored rolling saddle! I most often use a five gallon bucket with a padded lid. Yours is much nicer. On my portable stand I placed nine inches of 2" ABS across at the extended feet on each side. That two inches of kick back is better with heavy bikes.

When you need to drive a screw in the way back of a long and narrow locker.

That’s awesome. It would work great for my pipe. That s*it builds up fast. Bass strings are nice but they aren’t very rigid.

That's pretty cool !!!
I had to get one...
I bought the cheapest one because I'll probably never use it. 😂

I hope I remember that I've got one if I ever do need it? 😂

Time and the elements take their toll on Higo & Julet connectors. I've had several go bad in the last couple of years. Rather than replace them, which involves fine wire soldering, I've had good luck cleaning the contacts with this welding tip cleaner set:

This is over the top clean method. I spray something in there .
Zoom in on yellow tire remove tool, my clean kit pour alcohol on it and it's clean it may take a few strokes then hoppes oil.
When I perform swing arm disassembly I use those brushes thoroughly clean up the holes before I bolt them back together torque to specification. Let me add this tools too. Compress air gas in cannister.
I too sometimes go overkill when doing owner perform maintenance.
No worries that pistol only shoots pellets. Tool for ferral chickens on my trails.

Figured I'd put this here, you can't see it well, but the PCB is held by a vintage board holder from the mid 60's. I found it amongst my brother's things when he moved his art studio. He doesn't do electronics so he didn't need it. Beautiful day out other than a chill so I setup outside to fix the control board to my welder. Used my Dewalt battery powered soldering iron. It went quick and smooth to remove the blown part. I connected it inside and put in a 5A fuxe and now my welder feeds again. Just gotta wait for my kids to get home to find out where they put all the screws when we took it apart.

I did clean up the dried flux before reassembly.

Next Saturday Santa arrives by tug boat and there will be a used toy swap. The toys will get wrapped in some sort of biodegradable wrap to go under trees. I was assigned the task of repairing a toy in front of kids to show that stuff does not need to just go to the landfill but can be fixed. This is a harder task than it sounds because toys these days toys don't seem to have mechanical components that can be accessed or repaired. I finally found one. It is one of those record players where you select an animal sound, then pull the string. Now with escalating demands the moms want me dressed in a elf hat!

I will show up with one of these. It is a Ferla Royce. It has an awning over the passenger area made from an Oriental carpet. The owner moved from town to a rural mountain top and can't use it so he wants it to go to a young family on the flatlands. The Santa event will be a perfect spot to show it off.

Most important tool for me is this bottle opener. Can’t tinker all night long without my favorite brew…View attachment 166356
I like everything in your photo. It is the real deal.

It does beg the question: What is your favorite brew when working on bikes? Sierra Nevada IPA, Lagunitas Maximus,..? What ever it is, it comes in a bottle and is not a twist off.

Thanks, most any brown or dark ale will do for me!

I just ordered what I was ordered by the cargo moms to do. They rule, I am merely a dutiful supplicant in their service. I have to take apart the toy, show and repair it innards, all while in an elf hat! That is the price of inclusion. All it will take is a #1 screwdriver to open it up to reset the main spring.

I was banging around on my Bulls.
I got cleaver and Snap-On scissors.
It has beer bottle cap opener.
30$ scissors . Cute and cuts meat.

My fix for the welder worked. We got it out today and fixed a cracked welded on the landing gear of the trailer. I bought the welder used a couple years ago and never really used it. I'm not a trained welder, I just practiced. It never really did feed quite right. Sometimes it would just feed after the button was released, other times it would feed slow regardless of set speed. Now it feeds perfectly, I was able to run a steady 12" bead, something it would never do before.
