Our Rides in Words, Photos & Videos

Oh goodie! Below freezing temperatures!!! 👏. You all amaze me. Beautiful video. 😁🚴‍♀️
Thanks. We’re still a long way from what we would consider spring weather and there will likely be more thaw and freeze conditions until then in addition to more white stuff. Also, snow in May is an occurrence that Albertans are accustomed to by now. ;)

Wow. I'm not fond of the cold and even less of snow but I would love to do rides like that. Very well done video as always. I commend your area's government for providing such wonderful paths and trails. 👍 👍👍
Thanks Reed. I don't cope well either with severe hot and humid but admire those who can and are able to provide some wonderful images of where their two-wheelers take them. I may live in the flatlands but the Parkland Region of our province does provide abundance in terms of seasonal offerings. 👍

Because it was so windy, I tried to keep to the trees on the hill. I found another Tee-Pee structure as well as a Swing Set!
Those tree swings would officially make Nose Hill your playground! ;)

My wife drove down to Cochrane today and remarked on her return home how the wind was blowing the snowdrifts onto Hwy 22. o_O

Much the same on this morning's ride …

Moreton Bay Cycleway : Redcliffe Peninsula

Redcliffe Peninsula
8.55 am; 40 km (yellow arrows)

The 60 km/h headwinds, that I knew I'd have to ride in to, create some severe range anxiety!
I finished this ride with the Kiox (Bosch computer) showing 100 km ridden and range remaining 110 km.

For once in quite some time I didn't have howling winds to contend with, what a difference! It was the kind of day I would have loved to do a 100 miler but I only had about 2 hours spare so that will have to wait...! It was only 5C this time but didn't feel as cold due to the lighter winds! I got quite a workout with lots of ups and downs which I just love so I was in my element!

My old gorilla friend has lost his mask, lets hope that is a sign :D

I was surprised to see he has some company now, the zebra better hope somebody is feeding the gorilla! ;)

I'm looking forward to Sunday now which is looking much the same as today and hopefully a longer ride if time permits!

Had a nice 25 mile ride yesterday, plan on another ride in a few. The vids are uploading now,
went to Druid Hill Park, still a bit of snow and ice on the trail.

Finally! got the vid uploaded at last, don't know why it took so long this time.

Yesterdays ride was unremarkable, just a 19 and 3/4 mile ride to Race Pace Bicycles and back home with a stopover at Starbucks, mmm mmm good. Ride On peeps...oops, forgot to add this is part 1, the 2nd part is coming soon to a theater near you..
