Maintenance, assembly etc.

I am the happy owner of a Xduro Cross RC :). The thing is putting a smile on my face every time I ride it. Since I got it online it took me some time to fully tune it but right now it is riding very smooth.

As I keep having problems I decided to ask it in the same thread.

Right now my only concern is the seatpost. When I was installing it I used a little bit chain lube to let it slide easily but still when I change the height (sometimes friends want to try it out) I still have to rotate left right to slide it and I am seeing a silver color on the seatpost. It seems I can rub it off but still it is heart braking to see your seatpost getting scratched. So my first question is do you use assembly lube and if so which brand do you use for Haibikes ?

Well by using assembly grease I installed the seatpost nicely. Now I have another problem. The bike is squeaky. So far I have fixed the rear wheel sqeak by adjusting the breaks several times. Seatpost noise fixed by grease, handlebar noise was also fixed tightening 2 screws. I purchased a bike stand since I realized that these bikes need a lot of tune up when ridden regularly. Now I am having squeaky noise from the front wheel. Checked the brakes and they don't seem to be the problem(similar noise though). When the bike is lifted I don't hear the noise, when riding it around 5-15 I hear it, when I speed up it goes away. Any thoughts ?

Lot's of things have happened. After using a torque wrench the bike is running very smooth.

Now I have a new problem. How do you wash your bikes? It has some dirt/dust on it. Normally I would just rinse it first with a hose (no pressure head just running water over it) after that if it still needs cleaning I would do it with a bucket or maybe some bike cleaner like WD40.

But I am not sure how to proceed with an electric bike. I will appreciate directions.

I assume it has the same hubs as my Trekking. There are rubber dust shields covering the hub cones that rub against the hub shell. Lubricate that interface; the squeak will go away.
