Generic MD 1000 and HD 750 ebike model discussion

Hello. I live in Iceland. I am new to this forum. I have been watching it from the start. Some of you guys were talking about a bike rack for your cars. I just got a rack last week. It is built to hold a motocross bike. It takes two electric fatbikes with ease. I think this is the way to go with the fatbikes.

What's the name of this rack?

That looks good Bigjoe, do you have link to purchase this rack? Looks like they are made in Australia so unless they have distribution in the US shipping will be more than the rack.

Sorry no link. I bought it in Iceland.

The company seems easy enough to get through to. A quick call should get you all the info you’re after. RMK has had plenty of practice with that the last wee while due to Leili’s master shipping efforts!
Should be a breeze brother Lol

This morning, I spoke with Pushkar at Watt Wagons about getting the Archon X1 controller upgrade for my immaanent Bikrix JUBeast. He expressed some concern about the continuous and maximum power output from the battery management system, that it's probably insufficient at least for the highest programming level on the x1 (2300w with 3kw peak). I've emailed Biktrix asking for confirmation, and will follow up with what I find out (unless some of you who actually have the Leili bike already know). Again, this is a specification of the battery's on-board controller, what wattage it can output, rather than a specification of the motor. -GEF

There’s a guy from the UK who has a YouTube channel. Andy Kirby I am sure his name is. He’s done some crazy upgrades to controllers and Bafang motors. He may be someone you can speak with who actually has real world experience of what these things can be pushed to. I don’t know him but he comes across as a very nice approachable guy in his videos. If nothing else you’ll see some very upgraded bikes! Lol
Hope this is of some help and would like to see how your journey ends up. Good luck however you go... 👍

Thanks Terry, but I'm not trying to "push" anything crazy, just want to make sure my bike can handle a long climb in extreme temperatures. I thrive in desert heat, but gear not so much.

So you are asking if the output of a 1000 watt (1500 watt peak) motor/controller with a battery management system presumably designed for that level of output is capable of 2300w 3Kw peak output???

I don't have an EE degree but I'm pretty sure that would be a bad idea.

From Ryan at Biktrix, 30A for the beast's batteries' BMS. 48Vx30A=1440W max, so as Pushkar suspect an Archon X1 controller set to 2300W would do no good. The official tiers for this product on the website are 1000W and 2300W, but I will follow-up if 1400W is a possibility.
