E-motion Eco Cross

I'm considering buying the Eco Cross for commuting 7 miles each way to work. I'm 5'10 and 165 lbs. I want to get to work without getting sweaty which was the problem with my regular bike. There's a steep hill near my house and am wondering if this bike can make it up the hill using just the throttle. I'm concerned that the 350 W 48 v motor may not be enough. Does anyone have experience with this bike? It looks awesome but I'm a function over form person so I don't want to buy it based on looks. Is $2800 a good price for this bike?

Do you mean a 2016 Evo Cross? I could be wrong, but the only Eco I'm aware of is the Evo Eco Lite. I own a 2015 Evo 29'er and I live on a fairly significant hill, one direction is 750 foot climb over 2.2 miles and the other direction is about 825 foot climb over 2.8 miles and I do this every time I leave the house. The bike handles it very well and I only get sweaty if it's very hot, or I really push hard when wanting to get to the top quick. Easy Motion bikes are beautiful integrated ebikes, well made, with fantastic components. The geared hub motors pull very well, but you will still put in the effort for a decent workout. The bike will not throttle up a serious hill on it's own power. Pretty much you get as sweaty as you want to. $2800 is a good price being $300 off MSRP, but shop around and take a test ride. If this is your first experience with ebikes you should test out as many as possible so you're sure you are getting the bike you want and need.

Thanks JR - I meant Evo Cross. I am new to the e-biking experience but am very excited about it. Test drove many bikes yesterday. The other E-motion bike I liked was the Evo 27.5. I don't need a mountain bike, but I liked the way the bike felt.

I considered the Cross but chose the 29'er based on better components, which the 27.5 has as well. My review:

Not significant if you're riding all road, but I ride dirt roads and gravel rail trails 75% of the time. Both Cross and 27.5 are great bikes.
