Purchased from Global Bikes in Tempe AZ while was a pleasent experience has proven to be a failure in "Service after the Sale" . With 50 miles on the bike a failure with a "zip" tie has left us without enjoying our new purchase for somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 weeks. New controller needed. Failure result allowed the motor cable from the hub that run along the frame to make contact with the rear wheel rubbing thru one of the wires. I could have temparaily repaired this and use of the bike would have been available.. However we were told if I did this it would "void" our warranty. As the attached pictures will show this cable attachment is a poor design and in my opinion should be addressed.. There are a number of ways to achieve a better way to secure the cable. I recommend if you own this or any other eBike, inspect your cable routing. This was a unneccearly failure resulting in loosing use of our new purchase for 6 weeks.

UPDATE:
Well one may have heard the saying "The squeeky wheel gets the grease".. Such is the case here. My wife contacted Aventon Corp sharing our experience, and was informed that our eBike would be taken care of. New parts, shipped by FedEx will be sent to us directly within the week. A phone call to Global Bikes informing them of the action by Aventon Corp resulted in us being told to bring the new parts and bike to their store and they would put a tech on it and have it back to us in 2 to 3 hours.. We are recommending a modification to the "Zip" tie saddle be made, at this point of cable routing. We'll see? Rest assured I will design a better method of securing and protecting the cable. Will my wife be purchasing another Aventon as a Christmas gift from this retailer, questionable. Maybe a Surface 604 is in my future.

UPDATE 2.0
That "Squeeky Wheel", still squeaks ! Turns out Aventon Corp had no intention of shipping us those parts as indicated. We intend to return the bike to Global Bikes, if the parts are on the shelf, they repair it, give our money back, or a new replacement..(it'll be sold or given away). End of day, neither of us will own a Aventon eBike, and rest assured no further business will Global Bikes get. Disappointing !
