Testing this shifter on my Luna Buzzraw and absolutely love it. It’s a wireless shifter like the expensive ones from SRAM and Shimano. Super easy to install and you tune it with an app on your phone. Works with practically any derailleur. Biggest issue anyone will have is where to mount it. Batteries are rechargeable and you can set a “get home“ gear if they do run out on you. You have to turn it on for each ride but once set up it pairs easily with the handlebar remote. Shifts are quick and smooth and you can fine tune each individual gear via the app. I have a custom setup using stacked Surly Single Speed Cogs due to the power of the bike and this wouldn’t be possible without the D1X as there was no way to prevent the derailleur from over shooting the last cog. Battery life is yet to be determined but so far after five ten mile rides they still don’t need a charge. This is definitely going on my Hydra once it gets here.

it is a cool idea. but shift way too much and this would be a real buzzkill waiting for it to shift. I often shot two gears at a time but not always. thats why I always make sure I have a higher ned drive train so shifting is good.
No waiting for it to shift. You can also do multiple gears at a time by holding down the buttons.

from al the reviews there is a second or so pause and you have to hold the button down for several seconds to shift multiple. top me thats slow.
Well not sure what to tell you, I have it and it shifts faster than the regular shifter. No question about that.

what shift system do you have? there is a big difference I have found between systems. but often now when I accelerate I do two shifts at once. but not always it depends.

Cuz V, I've been considering this electronic shifter for my Cannondale Lefty 3. The bike came with a Shimano GRX setup, but I had to switch to Deore XT when I switched to a flat bar setup.
I found, compared to the Di2 setup on my road bike, the GRX to be very clunky and the Deore XT is no better. I also don't think much of the Deore XT shifter. I know I shouldn't, but I can't help compare the GRX/Deore XT kits to my ultra smooth Di2 setup.
When I did the drop bar to flat bar swap I considered going with a Di2 setup, but the high cost put me off.
One reason I haven't purchased an Archer kit is Archer is a very small company and if it goes out of business in a year or two and my unit breaks down I'd be out of luck.

If you wait they are working on a new version in which the components are a little smaller and an ebike specific version that can tie into the bikes battery.

How did you find out about the upcoming new version? I didn't see anything on their website.
Someone who has inside info told me. No idea when it’s supposed to be released though.
