getting a regular bike after my battery fails?

Ok doing that I just toss all the open runs. Since they need to cross.

Maybe. Couldn't you have them cross in front of the handlebars/headset before the cable stop and then run them parallel on the downtube with the front shifter housing on the outside?

I drilled out the stops so the housing fits and used stick-on guides. I need a couple more for the back. I don't have the ends or the wire yet, but I sure like the blue looks great. my new tools work far better then I thought they would. The socket is great you can change from the socket position to a screwdriver position with one hand, but you do need two to change the direction at least I do. The screwdriver is great for the light work. The Wiha set right now is mostly used for bits. I was thinking new rack? but racks look used pretty quick so what's the point? Need the wheels on to adjust the angle though.

almost dark so I had to stop. Got the shifting done. it was not as bad as I thought. The derailer was already setup it just needed a minor adjustment. I think the chain length is fine too. I thought you could use all the cogs with only two chain rings, but I guess not. only a tiny bit of rubbimg so maybe only the smallest or largest cog. The front needed to be tweaked so it did not rub it is hard to shift the front with it in the stand. had a hard time getting the front wheel in. oops disc is on backwards. I don't think I am going to get the blue brake hose till at least monday so I bought some bulk so I can get the bike up and running this weekend. Adjustable kickstand is too long by a little bit but whi would need a longer kickstand?? brakes tomorrow, fenders and all the dodads and setup. I am glad I can use a med cage on it too,

You could use a hacksaw to shorten the kickstand. I have been using a Pletscher double leg kickstand and it works great. I have the Disc Trucker with 26" wheels.

I have the double or the heavy double on the tandem. This stupid thing is adjsutable but its at its shortest. so how the hell would it work with smaller bikes? I just wanted cheap keep spending money too easily, but I will fix it at work.

crap I did not realize the quick connect banjo fittings from Jagwire are just the fittings. The hose they sell has the quick connect on it so I still have to wait till I get the hose I would have to spend about 60.00 to get shimano hose with the right connector so I have to wait. Well, it's hard ot bleed brakes in the rain. I just have the fenders left put the seat on and adjust everything.

my wife is blind she would just trip on something. but sicne the bike is much lighter, I can bring it into the den. Thanks for the idea. its imposible to get my ebikes up stairs.
I had not thought about it because I guess it's been all e-bikes for so long they were too heavy to get up, then it was a recumebent and that was too big. Got the brakes done. The back was not too basd cutting the hose and putting the fittings on is pretty easy. the back was a little hassle till I realized I did not have the piston spacer between two of the 4 pistons. The banjo connection is actually pretty easy and lets you adjust the angle of the hose. but the front one would not work. the fill port was plugged and I had a spare caliper only a deore one, and used that one but I dont know if it was a bit wrong or what but I could not get any pressure at all. I had forgotten that was 3 years ago I took the bike in for the motor swap the front was not working and I was thinking it just needed cleaning.
so I put the spare on. I had to cut off the jagwire quick connect as it does not come with any fittings and I only had the banjo one. so tomorrow the fenders they are always fun, and the dodads and seat and it's ready.
4 piston brakes are a bit overkill for 160mm but hey its all good.

Man, my hands suck for finer work. I spent more time dropping parts then installing the fenders. I spent 30 minutes adjusting the back fender that I thought was rubbing, only to find that it was the screw rubbing the disc. once I got it all done I took it outside, measured my trek and set the seat height and the bars were within about 1/4" or so of the trek and the distance was the same. took it on a test ride. man this feels like a slug. e bikes spoil us for sure.
the power arm seems like say 400 watts left me more winded on my test hill the it does on the bosh. but I was able to do the 18% grade. I may just be tired today. i wanted to ride the tandem and see but by the time my test riding was over it was 2 and our granddaughter was coming over. went to trek to get a slot to have the headtube cut off and the start nut installed. This year, everyone is busy so it won't be till Thursday. The power meter arm died. I don't know why as I put a fresh battery in it. so I put another one in it. and it seemed fine. took a 10 mile ride and it felt like a workout. even though it seems the same calorie count if you look at the time it sure felt like it was harder. but I need to ride more and see. I could do most of my commute in the 26t chainring. it seems like it takes about 130 watts to go 12mph. I think faster tires will help but i need to wait till it stops raining so much.

the front fork feels good my butt felt so much more without the Kinect seat post. The bike is so muc more respnsive then any bike I have riden without all that weight. I may hav to put the 11-42 in back to climb those hills with groceries.
the bike is smooth and is so much lighter even just the bulls frame, motor and fork and a lock and rack feel so much heavier.
goomy day badfor pics. I will replace the front bag with a frame bag I need a 700c tube to put in there.

I'd ride the pedal bike for the joy of it, but I'd pull the groceries on the ebike.

Man the difference between an average 155 watts on my trek and this bike is crazy. well it did take 15 or so more minutes but I burned over 100 extra calories. like 400 watts on my trek up a hill feels easier then 400 watts on this bike. its going to take time to get used to a regular bike its been 10 years since I rode an analog bike. my little hill on the bike path I usually put out 300 to 400 watts going up it but it took 500 watts on this bike and I had to stop and rest afterwards. one little spot was 20% grade its maybe 100 or so feet long. I am going to put a 11-42 cassette on tonight.
the back caliper was rubbing, but sometimes you need to ride a little bit to get things settled. but nope one piston would not retract enough. even cleaning it and lubing it. I guess 14k miles, then letting them sit for 3 years in a unheated building takes its toll.
got the steerer cut off. The bike weighs 32.5 pounds without the lock and bag so not bad. I am so glad I got the power crank it really lets me know what's going on.
