X7 discussion

Mine arriving Tuesday 9/16 by UPS here in NYC. I'm hoping you early guys post some youtube vids since this is a brand new animal! I cannot wait for my green tank! Oh, and on the new color screen, I asked and they said "it will be sent separately". I also ordered another color as a backup, so not sure if I'll get 2 color screens or what.

Shipping to me in North Carolina on Tuesday, in Fire Engine Red!

With the electric motor and regenerative charging, I consider the X7 as the "Tesla of bikes," and there is a connection to eAhora! Tesla's affiliate, Elon Musk's The Boring Company, will be digging a 3-mile tunnel for Tesla electric vehicles to transport passengers from Rancho Cucamonga (where eAhora's warehouse is located) to Ontario Airport @ 120 mph. It will save the City over $1 billion and 5 years!! How about that?

Wow, 11.6 mah means 58 more Watt hours than the 10.4 mah battery. Hope that's what we get - 11.4% more useful battery power!!!

Poll: First Accessories for the new X7 Plus

So, setting aside for the moment the OEM eahora products (color screen, batteries, racks etc); what are you considering for even more enjoyable miles? Not already being an ebike owner, I know I will need Locks, and definitely Insurance; what else is on your wishlist (with product links if you've got ideas or experience)?

Understanding that riders and locations vary widely, I'm an older, urban rider/commuter in NYC who will be relying heavily on throttle and PAS3 or 2 for milder exercise. (I think I have the terms right, new to peddle assist terminology). Comfort and security are my priorities over a mountain bike or race enthusiast looking at power and speed.

My add-ons:
1. Full coverage theft/liability Insurance: https://velosurance.com
2. Bike Lock: https://www.amazon.com/FOLDYLOCK-Compact-Bike-Lock-Extreme/dp/B07D5KJWBT
3. Handlebar Jack (helps with turning bike over keeping handlebars off floor & protecting the controller): https://www.handlebarjack.com/
4. Tail Light & Alarm: Yeah, I know new X7+ supposed to come with both of these; but adding security/visibility. https://www.amazon.com/Onvian-Anti-Theft-Motorcycle-Waterproof-Vibration/dp/B07Y8BW8TF
5. Lock for Quick Release Seat (don't know the diam. of seat post though): https://www.saveyourseatlock.com/product/quick-release-seat-lock/
5. Someday.... Expensive Bike Travel Bag: https://www.evocusa.com/collections/bicycle-travel-bags-and-covers

Any others? OP: maybe we should start a new thread "X7 after-market accessories, add-ons" or something; sorry new here, but a thought as we all get our new rides and start posting our experiences!

First things I’m getting are head and tail lights, upgrade the rear air suspension for a coil shock, maybe a new handlebar but I want to know how the stock one feels first. Eventually want to get a bigger battery.

I would get a u lock that requires 2 cuts. Not familiar with that type of lock. Since it is foldable hopefully you can secure it easier. I'm hoping it will fit in my trunk.

I looked at the lectric too. Lack of suspension was a big deciding factor. I did get a shipping notification so hopefully will be here soon.

Lectric is US based and native English speaking. They are communicative and responsive when it comes to serious issues. The community is huge and active.

If Eahora improves their support and shipping issues they can steal some market share sure. Otherwise they'll just keep having negative feedback which is very apparent from past customers on here and Amazon and their own website. I hope they're reading this.

What's funny is Eahora and Lectric ebikes come from the same factory. I'm going to follow closely on the new owners and take notes of the upgrades. This will help me decide if the recent price hikes are justified when my XP has been meeting my needs, tough sell.

This is a single X7 thread right now, but anyone could simply make an X7 accessories thread and then when that gets big enough, the moderators would make a special subforum for it. The X7 doesnt even have a subforum under Eahora yet!

Probably a good idea for the next accessories post to make their own thread to get that started.

agreed, it’s only gonna get bigger once these bikes finally make it out to customers. might be a good idea as well if there’s a facebook group we can all decide on joining. maybe it’s just me but i find it easier to go through information that way.

there is a eahora group but moderators there’s are not active and still haven’t approved me. so far only one group has accepted my join request sadly i’m the only one in it haha

the rattan group and lectric group on facebook are pretty active hopefully we can get it similar to those groups.
