Geared front hubmotor kit from ebikeling.com 2018. $221. Delivered to friend near summer camp. 1st defective battery from btrbattery of amazon.com. Bike huffy savanah cruiser from charity resale shop near summer camp, $15. Didn't like 18 lb battery hung off front fork, hated the PAS, too fast level 1. Battery would go until 1st hill then drop voltage. 2nd defective battery from sun-ebike warehouse in Baldwin Hills, CA, ebay, $300. Battery voltage would rebound after quitting on 1st hill, so didn't know if battery was bad or controller+motor. 6 months later tested battery with resistors & DVM, proved it bad.
2nd rear DD 48 v hubmotor from ebay. $189. 17.5 ah Battery from lunacycle.com $630. Cargo bike from yubabike.com, $1500 with accessories. Hung battery off front basket bosses in frame. Worked, didn't like 7 speed 14-28 freewheel instead of original 8 speed 11-32 sprocket. Rear too heavy dragging bike out of garage over step. Dragged unpowered like 2 higher sprockets. Couldn't buy 7 speed 11-32 freewheel and 8 speed 11-32 freewheels were too thick. After 500 miles brought ebikeling front hubmotor to town & replaced rear DD hubmotor with front geared hubmotor. Controllers compatible, easy. Range increased 30% geared over DD motor. 4500 miles later ebikeling motor stripped a gear. Rode defective motor 6 miles out & 27 miles back unpowered, replaced ebikeling motor with Mac12 front geared hubmotor from lunacycle. Had $720 spare motor kit in stock already. Range increased 20%. Like this kit but no PAS, throttle hand gets tired over 3.5 hours on windy days. Looking to install a torque sensor but no input on Luna controller.

Weird poll numbers. Why do they add up to more than 100%? I get it that some people might have multiple bikes. If one person got their bike from a dealer and one person got 3 bikes online, I would think that 25% of the bikes came from a dealer and 75% of the bikes came from online. Something else going on here....
