It’s been a while since I last posted. Work has been pretty bad the last few months. So been doing a bit of thinking to get out of the rut.
We’re looking at getting a Subaru XV or Crosstrek as it’s known elsewhere. This is a good size car for just two of us and gives a good mix of regular driving and heading off-road when we need to. It’ll give us greater scope for exploring further afield with our bikes.
Anyone got experience with this combo or similar? Our Homage GX Rohloffs are about 30kg each. If we take the batteries off, it’ll lighten them by a few kg.
The Thule Velospace XT seems to be a good choice. We just want to make sure we don’t waste time and money as talking to various shops and dealers, the usual response is “it should work”.
Hoping someone here can reassure us.
