Man a first a skunk started crossing the bike path as we were going past at 18mph. he turned around and his tailed was raised and it was like Oh s*it but no spray. maybe use to that. but its the first I have seen round those parts. lots of homeless around there. we did smell some skunk coming back so maybe someone got blasted but it was not as strong as it would have been if it was on the path.

Eyecatching view of the Merrimack River harbor, taken from bridge. If you look hard you can see a land mass on the horizon, it is Plum Island. Coastal area north of Boston.

The area that we call home was an artist community a century ago and home to among others, Augustus Saint-Gaudens and Maxfield Parris. Munch of Maxfield Parrish’s artwork was inspired by this beautiful area. The land of barns built over rivers and streams. I do love it up here.

Nice looking bike also....what make/model is it?

Nice looking bike also....what make/model is it?spyre brakes,
Thanks. It’s a Yamaha Cross Core. I find it to be a very satisfying bike and I set it up for road and gravel, (upgraded to Tiara 4700 drivetrain, Spank Oozy pedals, TRP Spyre brakes, Redshift Stem, Cane Creek eeSilk carbon seat post with Fizik Aliante saddle, Maxxis 40mm Receptor tires, Salsa Deluxe Bend bars and carbon inner bar ends). It still came out cheaper than a Wabash And it is just the way that I want it.

I should have included this picture of Augustis Saint-Gaudens home and grounds.

This is my Cross Core, pre Redshift stem. The inner bar ends are actually recycled Specialized bar ends with the graphics removed. It’s nice to have the alternative hand position.

Today is nice, cool and windy, so I went out exploring. This ride was in Vermont, South-East of Woodstock.

I love a cool, crisp, Spring day, (just like a nice fall day without dreading a long winter on the spin cycle).

Very nice. Which make/model of drone did you end up getting?
Same one as yours, DJI mini 2. Easy to throw in the Topeak and is a nice add-on to those bike/photo adventures. Seems to be the go to drone for photography. I'm not that interested in video but I've found that even a screen grab from a 4K vid makes a pretty good still which certainly gives a lot of options.

Here is one of our local covered bridges. It spans the Connecticut River between Cornish NH and Windsor VT.

I hate driving across it. It is fairly dark inside and narrow with no center line and a lot of pick’em’up trucks take their half out of the middle, but it is a precious part of local history and I am glad that it is well maintained. Being a local, I hardly notice it any more. There are many covered bridges around here, two of them being on a local rail trail.
