Yesterday was a holiday here in Ontario, so we spent the afternoon doing a 50km round trip on our Spark Mini's, just beating the storm on the way back.
The bridge where this pic was taken has additional space to pull over and rest for a moment.
The Humber river was a bit more chatty with the recent rain. The red and blue rectangles on our trunk bags are Anker Soundcore speakers, which are linked so we can listen to music (at a responsible level) while riding. The playlist was most 60's rock and pop (The Monkees - Last Train to Clarksville, Donovan - Season of the Witch, that kind of stuff). Time to cram a power bar.
Battery check... 60% on the nose, after 25km.
It started to drizzle after a few minutes, so we decided to head back, as the sky was looking a little ominous.
We considered stopping for a bite by the lakeshore, but decided against it... luckily.
Just a couple of klicks from home. The stormfront behind BMO Field (where the Toronto FC plays) is where we were riding from. To the left and behind me was blue sky, which you can see in the corner. And yes, I have Kawasaki green rim tape from CustomTaylor33 on my bike that matches my water bottle. Unfortunately, the speaker wasn't available in that colour.
She has cyan rim tape, which is why she gets the cyan coloured speaker.
Almost home now, and you can see the rain getting closer. You can make out the wall of water just to the left of the large building in the foreground. We beat the storm by less than 5 minutes.
50.88km, and the battery check was at 38%, mainly because there's more downhill on the return, and you can leverage the free momentum in a lower gear even on these 20"x4" folder to get some leg-only travel.
