I couldn't resist posting this on Halloween. My brother and I rode the North Bend Trail near Parkersburg WV a while back. He's a paranormal fan so we decided to visit the "haunted" Flineration tunnel #2 near Brandy Gap WV. Some background information on the tunnel is available here:

The trail needs work but it has quite a history.



The tunnel itself is a difficult ride.



What makes the tunnel even more spooky is the fact that it passes under an old graveyard located on top of the mountain. We didn't see any ghosts or hear any voices but oddly enough, we both had splitting headaches by the time we made it through. Believe what you like but I think it was due to poor air quality in the tunnel.

Near Nelson, New Zealand... Longest ride so far for me... 137km. Ferry goes from Mapua to Rabbit Island as part of local trail network; Tunnel is part of old railway from late 1800's (stll soot on the wall!).

Nice! How do you make your battery last for such a distance?

I just found out the Cross Current has 52V 19.2 Ah battery. Could have googled that before asking

I have the 48V 21 Ah battery... but was aiming for an all day ride, not speed, so changed where the assist cuts out at. ie. set assist up to 25 kph most of ride. Anything above that (which was most of ride down a long river valley) was me. Usually set assist to 30 kph most of the time anyway, unless I need to get somewhere fast! 45kph is nice but goes through the battery faster!

I couldn't take a picture, but yesterday I rode through "The Intersection". It is where the main drag crosses the highway. There is shopping on both sides with Home Depot, Wal Marche, etc. on one side and Penneys and Safeway, etc. on the other. Our county has FOUR stop lights so it is a big deal. To get to that part of town, you either brave The Intersection or you add a mile or two to your ride and go on a bumpy road. I used my throttle to get going when the light turned, and then switched to normal pedaling.

That's the 2015 Luna Giant Stance 2 with BBSHD. I just added the fenders, puncture resistant street tires, kickstand, upright handlebars. No lights, just the tank of my air horn in front.

Luna cycle replaced it with the newer version now.

A recent 5-day bike ride from German border town of Passau along the Donau (Danube) river to Wien (Vienna) in Austria a distance of 350km. The Danube cycle path is a popular destination for European cyclists with many completing the entire length of the river in stages over several years. That said, the most popular section is the Passau > Vienna part of the river and is well catered for with charging stations for e-bikers along with a considerable choice in biker friendly hotels. There are also lots of small ferry boats that for a few cents will take you across to the other bank for those who fancy the odd change. Whilst we traveled independently it was not uncommon to see riders opting for package biking holidays with the Austrian company EuroBikes seemingly one of the most popular. https://www.eurobike.at/en . This is not meant to be an endoresement of the company just an observation as I feel sure that anyone considering undertaking such a trip/holiday would research alternatives accordingly.

Originating in Germany, the Danube flows southeast for 2,850 km (1,770 mi), passing through or touching the border of Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine before draining into the Black Sea. Such a beautiful day for November so another awesome trip, it was very windy though but that's where an e bike comes into its own 60 glorious miles in the beautiful Scottish countryside, I don't think my smile will fade for quite some time Over 4000ft of climbing so my battery got a good test and held out for my final climbs back home, I just love this bike more everytime I hop aboard

What an awesome ride and such lovely countryside! Makes me want to pack up and travel to Scottland. Chancy time of year for that, I suspect.

A beautiful November day. Wet pavement, with bright yellow and brown leaves in the middle and along the edges, with the black road surface showing in two ribbons, as the road winds along the lake. Slashes of sun came through the clouds, making the leafy canopy glow. With the leaves falling, the view is opening up, and we could see across the lake to the other side. With the wet road and wet leaves, we rode slowly in a low PAS, and it was just lovely to take it all in.
