Today me and my Vado 5.0 are celebrating our first annivetsary. It’s not really a good day for riding ( 6-7°C) so I’ll take walk today to get some exercise.
I picked up my new bike late afternoon April 30th 2019 and was happy to now have the largest battery, the new display with Mission Control connectivity and also the newer 1.3 motor. Don’t know if this motor so much to me, I was quite happy with the 1.2 motor.
First a photo from a ride about a week ago. 45km through southern parts of Stockholm to a recreational area.

Sunday was nice too and looking out my kitchen window I decided to do a ride around town ( about 25km).
Came across a trio playing soft jazz.

Aw, happy anniversary! 💕 Love the band on the barge.

That makes me think - we've got an excellent survey running on bike reliability here which I would encourage everyone to participate in, but I'm curious how owners are finding their rides 12 months in? Feel free to contribute here: https://electricbikereview.com/foru...owner-trials-tribulations-and-triumphs.33516/

Getting better at this! Didn't get wet! Went about 200 yards and almost got blasted by a deer!

55 glorious miles today in perfect weather once again, only spoiled by a jammed chain about 5 miles into my ride which took a lot of effort to put right...it also chipped the paint on my chainstay! :( Nothing a touch up can't fix though and it was quickly forgotten about as I had such a great trip! :D 1,804 miles now covered this year from 42 rides which gives me an average distance of 42.95 miles! 42 rides and we are only just in May, last year I only had 69 rides for the whole year! Changed days indeed!

Not riding today but a close friend of mine visited me today because I'm giving away the surplus gear I don't need and Joanna got my Specialized rear-view mirror; she's an avid and athletic rider of two-wheel recumbent bikes. (On her Czech Republic trip last Summer she had been riding for 11 days with her hardest day covering 100 miles/160 km with 3900 ft/1200 m elevation gain, all on a mechanical bike).

Joanna took the chance to demo-ride my Vado. She has been riding for 20 minutes testing all assist levels. She easily hit 25 mph (40 km/h) with 70% assist level.

Did she give it back? 🤣

Another lovely day here for cycling, just the right temp at 15C for a very enjoyable 40 miles! After mentioning in another thread that I'm lucky if I see 8 cyclists @Readytoride during my many trips, well today I saw about 8 in the first 2 miles! :D I lost count after that but it must have been more than 20 by the time I returned home! Its good to see people on their bikes, I think quite a few were born again cyclists looking at the way they were riding!:p I have yet to see another e bike on our roads which surprises me, I'm sure they are out there though!

I was trying out my new Samsung S10 phone today, it has a really nice camera built in which I will explore more soon if I can be bothered!:p I took many more photos today than normal, I'm only uploading a small sample, like a 62yo kid with a new toy! ;) I'm impressed so far anyway with the phone and the camera! My route today was a nice figure of 8, I lost count of the number of times I changed my route today so I was really surprised to see how symmetrical it was!:D

Not a great photo .... My phone (motog6play/amazon version) has the worst camera. Anyway this is behind the Smoky Park Supper Club in Asheville, on the French Broad river in the River Arts district. This is the first ride in the city for 2020 and I must say....pretty deserted place, even downtown. The weather could not have been better. The bikes have been dormant since we got back from Fl the first week of Apr. Charged them up, fired them up and had a flawless ride. Going to try and map out a gravel route for next week. Asheville is not a bicycle city, no matter what you hear. Drivers (not all) are not cool with cyclists on roadways. The road bike guys seem to be most adept at dealing with it and thats good. I for one get "triggered" lol
