Congrats! You'll enjoy it. I was only able to get a few short rides on my Pro before the freeze set in but they seem to be great quality bikes for the price.

Just for those considering colour; I have a black Rize X, and a Red RX Pro. The black is nice when spotless, but because it's a flat matte black, it shows oil stains and dirt much more than my red Pro. It's definitely sharp looking when cleaned up, but I find the red still looks sharp even when a little grimy.
But they say red attracts bike cops...

Ordered on Tuesday and just got notice of delivery today. That’s pretty cool, perhaps atypical, but especially surprisingly since I live in the Kootenay’s. Roads are clear and it’s going to be sunny on Saturday!

First ride. Awesome! 48kmh on peddle assist and that on level 4, 44 on throttle Only. I’m over200lbs. Had to get that out of way. Riding in eco on asst 2 is a real pleasure. Takes some effort but a lovely ride. I’m very impressed.

So typical! If you're anything like me, now that you've been there done that, you won't likely do that again!
Yes, I agree, as a new owner it's fun to find the limit of the bike's capabilities. Now, after nearly 500 miles, it feels like cheating if I use anything above ECO PAS1. I could disable and remove the throttle, it's just not necessary for how I use the bike.

Pull some dumb a## move, that lets the bike wheelie out from under you for instance (leaving you flat on your back), THEN tell me about your call to remove the throttle. Been there..... and I was damned glad to have that throttle, even if I never used it again!

I think they feel quite similar, and the standover height doesn't feel significantly different to me (but I'm 6" tall). I think the frame size has more to do with the different geometry required to accomodate the mid drive housing. They are both very large feeling bikes with broad handlebars, so not ideal for anyone under maybe 5'10"? The Pro also has the suspension seat post, which further limits the lowest possible seat height, but the slightly lower standover height at least helps. If you want to put a suspension seat post on the X, you had better be darn near 6' tall or have a freakishly large inseam.
What is different, is that the bottle holder is pretty much useless on the X, as the height is restricted significantly. I could not find a water bottle short enough, so I have purchased a side-load bottle holder and just keep a little tool bag there. On the RX Pro, the frame geometry allows a lot more space in there, and the bottle holder is mounted lower and fits any bottle. Minor detail.
And despite their size, I find in PAS 1 they feel as light and nimble as any regular tire MTB even on light single track trails. Without any assist, they are not fun to pump up a hill or crawl through tight spaces, but you could certainly get home. I think the size is useful though since they are both quite quick bikes. The size feels just right at 40-50 KPH (X - RX Pro top speeds respectively). The big tires are very comfy and confidence inspiring, and here on the wet coast, I feel completely confident in heavy rain and even slippery ice and mud.

Thanks a lot for that. I made the decision to purchase the Rize X last week and Fedex shows it'll be at my doorstep tomorrow afternoon.
Ever since it shipped I've been wondering if I should have spent the extra for the mid drive RX model, mainly since the frame size is 19in also and I'm 6'2 with a 34in inseam and 265 lbs. or even the RX Pro since the 17in frame sounds more than adequate for my size.
I'm wondering how that would even work if I called Rize and wanted to switch bike models, not opening my delivery at all tomorrow and realizing it would be my cost to return ship, and then add the additional $600 US to gain the mid drive and other upgrades the RX model has over the X. I can't ever seem to leaves things well enough alone, lol. I'll be 61 this summer, haven't purchased a bike for 25 years and want to make sure this purchase it everything I want. It's been simpler buying vehicles over the years than this bike!!

Another big guy here at 6'2"/315. I can share that the RX Pro's 17" frame is plenty big enough for proper leg extension.....
In your situation, with the hub drive arriving shortly, I'd say ride it! Betting you'll love it. Even if it's not the perfect bike, it's going to teach you a TON, and a couple years down the road, you can replace it using the knowledge it's given you. One thing I can share, I beleive the hub drive is the easier of the 2 to ride... -Al

At the risk of sounding like a pretentious asshole, just get both like I did! lol
But seriously, the X is great as long as you don't have big hills to climb. I put a 1500 kms on mine last spring and summer before my RX Pro arrived, and it was a blast. I had to pre-order the pro due to the production delays last spring, but by chance I got the X in May due to a last minute buyer back out (He was 5'7"-ish, and could barely mount it, so immediately resold it to me). I had originally planned to resell it when the Pro arrived, but I love it so much, I kept it for a second bike and battery. It does have some distinct advantages, and is 'simpler' to operate in some ways. The Pro is a frigging speed and hill climbing monster, and definitely my favorite, but the simplicity of the X is perfect 'round town'.
For your height and size, I would recommend either the suspension seatpost, or just put a big ass springer seat on it instead, and life will be grand. I have a Serfas Super Cruiser sofa on the X, and a slightly smaller Serfas E-gel Cruiser on the RX Pro with the suspension post and couldn't possibly be happier with either one.
You WILL want to either add a stem riser to the bars, or go with taller bars. You won't like the forward lean for long rides at 6'2". Stem risers can be had for $20-30 on amazon, or I put these bars on my Pro since they give me an extra couple of inches of width (for mounting), and a slight rearward sweep.

Combined with some SQL 702 grips and integrated inner bar ends, and I'm in long distance heaven. BTW, that is fully optional, as the stock grips are quite comfy once you find the magic angle.

Thank you both! Sounds ridiculous but it's like a big sigh of relief that I've probably got the right bike arriving tomorrow. We're in the Tulsa Oklahoma area and the bike trails here are pretty flat for the most part.
I already have the stem riser here, lol, that I ordered earlier in the week, anticipating that would be necessary and I have a Cloud 9 seat on the Suntour post that is in my Lectric xp bike my wife and I have. I did replace the spring in the NCX seatpost with the heavier one from Suntour, love it. Since it's a 27.2mm I can swap back and forth.
So ok, no more back and forth, unboxing tomorrow when I get home and here we go! Much appreciated

Something else I can share for "larger" riders (is that politically correct enough?). Tire pressures. Mess with them! I'm running about 10 psi in front, and 18 in back. Handles great, and an exposed root doesn't feel like you're running over a brick.
We had a pretty tight group of big guys riding snowmobiles back in the day. Shared all of our set up tricks among us. We called ourselves FARC's. Fat Assed Riders Club. No shame here belonging to that group!!
