Riese&Muller Charger3 and U-lock mount issue

Hello,

Just got my Charger3 and it seems the U-lock mount is too small on vertical pipe below seat post (the one to which the seat own pipe slides in). Seems the pipe is too thick.
I tried to mount it directly on the seat integrated pipe but not sure about it, also it's touching back fork pipes so while driving it might make some noises and bump/destroy the paint.

Any ideas about better mounting ?

I dont have front rack like some.

Just found this thread — I am in exactly the same situation (R&M Charger 3, ABUS U-lock).

I have found that the best way to carry it is to strap it down to the rear rack using the included rubber straps. If I tighten the straps down all the way, the lock doesn’t rattle too much. That said, I can’t stand rattles when I ride and I wish there were a more silent solution. Curious if anyone else has thoughts.

Same bike and lock. Adjust rubber straps on rack, loop around horizontal bar of lock, no problems or rattling…
