hi,
I found a discarded ebike , I live in northern maine, I had seen it through the winter along the riverbank.
Its a probeco phantom x2. The elecs have been removed, rear wheel is from a non ebike and battery is gone too.
It has a folding frame, looks well made with expensive features, shock front struts and disk brakes which still function ok.
Would this bike me any good as a peddling machine ?
I don't think I'll be buying a motor and battery/controller, the prospect looks like a money pit.
These things cost crazy money, more than I paid for my car.
Is it worth bothering with?
I am well armed with automotive tools, and not afraid to modify or weld/fabricate etc.
