More speed for Ebike

Hi! Sometimes I feel like there is not enough speed! Because the sprocket on the Performance Line CX (4gen) is not big enough. It looks like they only have 22 teeth. Do you have any ideas or ready to use items instead of 22 teeth?

Both the System 2 and Smart System versions of the Performance Line CX motors are assist-limited to 20mph/32kph. Sprockets won't change this.

That looks like a gen2 chainring, not for a gen4 bike. That would be ridiculously small on a gen4 drive unit- you would have to pedal 120 rpm just to get to 31kph on a gen4 CX in the 11t cog on the back.

On a gen2, that same 120 rpm would get you to about 78kph and 90 rpm gets almost 59kph.

Maybe post a pic of the chainring on your bike so we can see what you have on it now.

Yes , you are right, my mistake! I need a large sprocket for Gen4 , my bad

Do you have a direct mount chainring or one mounted to a spider? If you use a spider like below then you should be able put on pretty much any 104bcd chainring that fits.

I can't tell you how big a change you can make with a chipped drive unit without throwing an error though. I do know that the Bosch units tolerate small changes easily.

They go up to 52-t. You will have less problems with a larger chainring than a smaller cog. But it will tend to stress the motor bearings more, but only if you do not maintain a high cadence with low side-to-side pedal pressure.

Not sure what's available where you are but maybe FSA is easy to find. They have a 104bcd Megatooth chainring that goes up to 48t - that's what my PL Speed bike came with.

I ride without errors about two years, speed maximum was 75 km /h

Also, large chainrings can prevent hitting low gears without dropping the chain. So, maybe don't be to aggressive out the gate. Narrow/wide will help hold the chain.

I would not ride a bicycle that fast. They are not meant to do that, like the imploding sub.

Pretty 50 -70 not very quick

At 45kph a lot can happen very quickly and there are many factors, even outside a rider's power to influence like a driver's phone. This happened to a cyclist in my town by a high school at 3 pm Wednesday. It was instant death.
Roulette is not for me, personally. The house always eventually wins.

Okay, It is just not my personal cup of tea. I am currently working on a 4Kw electric off-road only duel motor/duel battery electric motorcycle. I like mid-drives, no throttles, at 18Kg with a top end of 45, 28mph. Yesterday I made a throttle mid-drive and assembled an adult e-trike that came as loose parts in a 15cm wide box.

I installed battery kit for double ranges

Can't upload a photo here, it is a masterpiece!

I recall and a reminded of the youthful enthusiast in Manitoba who invented 'Zip Tie Cruse Control'. He thought it was the greatest. He zip tied his throttle at full open, leaving it there. And he would shut it off by hitting a brake cut-out lever. Then we suddenly never heard from him again. The implication is that he got himself self-weeded from the genepool garden. I am taking the CHP Electric Bike Safety and Certification Class today. Cut-out levers are a known point of failure.
