It appears that they don’t allow e-bikes for this grand fondo, so posting in the off-topic section.

Anyone do, or consider doing, the amateur grand fondo ride that does the same route as a stage of the Tour de France? Seems like a crazy idea, so I’m actually thinking about it

Not the TdF but the Giro d'Italia has its own e-Giro, which is ridden on e-bikes of very strict Euro rules (production e-bike, max motor power 250 W, 25 km/h restriction).

A funny thing here is Specialized Creo 1 (road e-bike) meets the criteria, while the gravel Creo 2 does not because of excessive SL 1.2 motor power!
