You can also get the tube out of the tire without completely removing the wheel from the frame.

There is enough room past the frame and axle to get the tube out to patch it.

I made these so I can flip my bike upside down without crunching the display and throttles.

I think that is correct. On my Amego Infinite+, if I set Max Speed under PAS to 45 Km/h, in level 6 it will continue to provide assistance up to 45 Km/h as long as I'm pedaling at all. I would guess the off road kit behaves the same. For various reasons, I chose to set this value to 32 km/h, not 45 Km/h.

The cadence sensor detects that the pedals are moving (slow, fast, any speed, doesn't matter) and then, the motor is engaged to try to get to the speed that corresponds to the current PAS setting. If the Max PAS Speed setting is 45 Km/h, then in Level 6, if pedaling it will provide power up to 45 km/h. When I tested this, that's how it behaved -- although on flat terrain, I don't believe I could actually get to 45...maybe 40 or so. If I lost some weight, maybe I could! AFAIK the T1000 and T720 have a more powerful motor, so it might get there.

Onother thing that isn't covered in the owners manual is that the rear light is not integrated with the bike and runs off 2 AAA batteries.

The on/off switch is kinda hard to find to turn it on or off, and getting it open to replace the batteries is really difficult and I was afraid of breaking it.
I had to remove it from the bike to see how it is put together so that I could open it up.
The opening point is hidden and you can't see it with it on the bike.

Not a lot of info or reviews, and yet the ones that are out there praise it to no end!

Is it possible that at this price point, 1799.00 CAD it is a very good ebike?!

I'm not sure but I think that it might spark or send a surge through the system just like how your not supposed to plug the charger into the outlet until AFTER the charger is connected to the battery, and unplug the charger from the outlet before unplugging it from the battery?

Yeah, but Leon's should have mentioned it in the owners manual.
I found out how they work in one of the EBR NCM or Amego reviews.

One customer complained to Leon's Cycle that his rear light failed, so Leon's sent him a new rear light, instead of just telling the guy to replace the batteries. Lol

I think that it's a lot of bang for your buck. In fact, too much bang.
I'm working on trying to turn it down a couple of notches.

I've been messing around with my throttle already and my new off-road display is on the way both of which will void my warranty but I don't care.

I trust that the bike is going to last, and I intend to take care of it.

I'm guessing though that the price will go back up in the spring, so don't wait too long to make up your mind.
Sales are flat right now and retailers want to move their stock, regardless of what ebike you choose.
(Amego has 41 black and 7 white T1000's in stock right now.)


I am biased in my opinion of course and don't have much experience with any other ebikes.

I'm sure that a torque sensor is better than a cadence sensor, but I don't wanna pedal anyway, so the big battery is more important to me.

And that 25 AH battery is easily worth $1,500 alone.
If you don't like the ebike, just throw it out and keep the battery and charger. You're only out a few hundred bucks.

The only negative comment that I could find was was a comment posted on the one T1000 YouTube video.

I guy commented that the tires are dangerous at any speed, the rear light fails after 3 months, the welds are shitty, and they use class C cells in the battery packs.

The T1000 has been described as a hybrid between a fat bike and a street bike, and my tires say "Inflate To 30 PSI" on the tires. (not 8-20 PSI like normal fat bike tires)

The guy didn't know that the rear light takes 2 AAA batteries.

I did notice a small ball of weld on one of my welds, and my brother-in-law looked at it and said that it is just splatter and the weld is fine.

I had to research what a class C cell was.
Class A is a freshly manufactured cell. Class B is a cell that has been in storage for less than a month, and Class C is a cell that has been in storage for more than a month.

I have no idea if ET.CYCLE uses class C cells or not?


That comment has since been removed from the YouTube comments.
Another comment that I can't find anymore, is where the poster of the video posted that he put 26x4.00 nobby tires on his T1000 and just had to clip the nibs off the sides of the rear tire to make it clear the rear frame, so that may be an option for anyone that wants to install a 26x4.00 nobby tire.
 
Appreciate the comments a lot…..I think it would work great up here with the elevation, multi purpose trails and even in the snow. Because it’s within the regs up here, I can get a 25% rebate to a max of $750 CAD, so the cost is even better.

I won’t ask how you know about the Amego inventory unless you own it!

I remember one guy saying that he was out in the snow with his T1000, and that was with the stock street tires.
Ice is different, you go down fast and hard without studded tires.

I won’t ask how you know about the Amego inventory unless you own it!

I own the bike, not the bike shop. Lol

Amego shows their current inventory on their website, and they are pretty good at keeping it up to date.

 
Another thing to keep in mind is to try be at home and available to help unload the bike from the delivery truck when it arrives.

My T1000 weighed in at 83 pounds with the box and packaging.
The bike itself is 78 pounds.

The delivery driver was a lady in her 60's with Grey hair.
The truck had no powered lift gate and she would have had to unload the bike to ground by herself if I wasn't available to help her get it off the truck and into my house.

My sister said that that is how delivered items get damaged. The delivery person just drops the package to the ground.

The bike is reasonably manageable at 78 pounds, but it's pretty clumsy when it's in a box. Lol
 
Looks like you can get a bonus rack and insulated delivery bag for $50.

You could get a job delivering food and get paid to have fun ripping around Whitehorse!? Lol

I served my country and also was a peace officer. I have done my time.

Now it’s about taking my motorhome, kaboat, bike, my four legged emotional support friend and my bride to places unknown.

I truly appreciate the effort you have taken to explain your thoughts about the bike.

Now I have to decide between this bike and the ones Roshan talked to me about over at Biktrik yesterday. He’s a good man, he’s a small business owner🇨🇦 And he believes in his lineup.

I did exactly that.
I bought my last ebike.

It's only been a month or few, but I don't have much time left either. lol
 
With all the toys I have bought an there have been many😎 (Boats, snowmobiles, motorcycles, atv’s et al) I ensure I do my due diligence, buy quality and ensure that all my needs are met during and after purchase.

Yeah, that makes sense.

I'm going to have to meet my own needs now that I've voided my warranty.
I do think that I bought something that won't need any attention unless I do something stupid.
Hopefully I can buy replacement parts without having to replace the entire ebike.

It does feel liberating knowing that the bike is my responsibility now.
