At the outset of this journey, I wanted to get a e-bike because of the exercise component.

You should be OK with an ebike then.
You can still go 32 kph or probably 45 kph with the off-road display for the T1000.
That's still fast enough to hurt yourself, so that adds to the excitement of riding.
You still need to pay attention and use lots of motor skills.
Going no hands is fun too, especially with a cross wind. Lol

I just found some smack talk about NCM.
It's the same company as ET.CYCLE
And I do remember the guy that posted in the YouTube video also said that the battery falls out of the bike.
I did see a couple used T1000's on kijij where they had a strap wrapped around the battery, holding it to the bike frame.

I remember when smoke started coming out of the steering column on my Sunrunner.
I took the steering column apart and cleaned up the contact for the signal switch and put some grease on it, and that fixed it.
I told a guy from the dirt with a Tracker, and he said "Yeah that was a recall" and it would have been fixed for free.
I didn't know know that !!
I spent a couple hours fixing it myself but I learned how to fix it and why it failed.

I just checked my battery pack and there is tons of movement on the battery pack where it locks in.
It's not just the battery, but the key lock mechanism itself is moving.
I'm putting a strap around my battery pack before the contacts get damaged or the battery falls out.

Yeah, I like those bikes.
They are similar to the T1000 but they are middrive and for only $400 more than I paid, I could have purchased the Stunner X 6.
I should have done more research before I made my purchase, instead of after I bought mine. Lol
The T1000 is still a contender at $1,750 though, but if you can afford and justify the Juggernaut Ultra Duo 2, that looks like an awesome bike.
You can probably add the extender battery and some other upgrades at a later date.
It looks like they will sell you an "Off-road" version too, that has more power and will go faster than 32 kph?

Just get the Juggernaut then.
I really don't think you'll regret it.
It's got the same suspension forks as the T1000 with the oversized (stronger) steering tube, cadence & torque sensors, and a stronger high cross bar frame.
You can always add an extender battery later but I would suggest at least the suspension seat post as an included upgrade.
Bicycle seats are nothing like motorcycle or ATV seats and a sore butt can get finish your ride way before the rest of you or your bike are done riding.
It's a Canadian company that sells a lot more stuff than Et.Cycle, they have stuff in stock and custom build every bike in Canada.
I'm sure that they have way better customer support, even if you don't have a local bike shop to fix things.
I'm sure that your quite capable of doing your own repairs.
Just don't void your warranty like I did. Lol

Sorry have not been on here for a while. So far, I really like the bike. The Battery size is great, not too many bikes out there with that size of battery. I ride most of the time with the power off, only turn it on when I get to hills. I like the fact that it came with front and rear racks as well as fenders at no extra cost. All the components on the bike are good quality. For the money, it's a good deal.

Yes I will.
It's on its way from New Zealand right now.
It should be a couple of weeks.
I may run into an issue where my headlight may not turn on and off with the display, but I'm not sure about that.
And turning it down to ECO mode may not have much effect, but I'll have to wait and see.

Does your ET F1000 have a throttle, and can you set the PAS mode speed to 45 kph?
Yes a thumb throttle that’s more like an on/off switch but i can ride around that. Yes PAS can be set to 45 klm/h but jeez you would need to be pedalling like crazy to get there. I needed torque as i tow my 2 small dogs in a trailer. Plus i’m disabled and ebikes are my primary forms of transport. I have mid and hub drives plus 2 escorts.
